f0xh0hels that plasterer is really sth. What is that, the 10th time now? Anything you can do, possibly change plasterer?

lavenderbee I hope you have a better day tomorrow

eager elephant hope sth can be done for your dog and it isn't in pain

Well, good day on average. Few slip ups (2 cigs and a cider) but was super patient with the kids, ate really well and to plan, worked hard in the gym, played my motivational speaker role with a few people who needed it and welcomed it and did a better job at work than yesterday. Rome wasn't built in a day. Don't see certain things as set backs but focus on the things I did achieve.

Spend on some health food today and will need to get supplies for the weekend camping trip.

Now a bit of crochet before bed

    Hi all :j

A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. Have (so far) resisted all sales blandishments - & emails) this month. When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); No purchases by me today.. but also no reference to todo list. More like a todon't list tbh..

J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th. Aiming for tough target. Now 4/20 so far..

U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) Friend came round as usual on Weds afternoon & stayed until well past 6..no prep done but made food from stores & a couple of veg DD brought round.

N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases. None today.

E Eating well is a form of self respect. Pretty good today, but need to cut out late night snacking..

O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms encouragingly!! Hopefully kind to person in Germany who bought my DVDs & hasn't received them....offered to replace them for her FOC..

D Debt or savings payments should be made first - live on what is left No debt other than cc I use for all purchases to get rewards - which is paid off in full every month. Will need to get the cc bill down during the month with payments made daily (PAD thread) to avoid large bill at end of month. Need to keep a check of finances, will aim for that tomorrow when nothing happening..famous last words. OK fate tempted..now will take place tomorrow..

E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Outside early on to plant some bits in garden, then in greenhouse for a while.

S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Tomorrow, honest...have all receipts. Still not done

S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Will be amassing stuff to take to CS as I clear the clutter; also intend to sell better items to pay for hols booked for August. Plus will donate to animals again. Sent donation to rescue for vets bill..

E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. 6/30 here I am..

You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest. Useful quotes on water mothernerd, hardly drink any myself but know I should....very relevant..

gien student rent is always a shocker, you can't help but wonder how much you could do with that money.

sashanut give yourself a wave with those pompoms from me

Tropically cuddling kittens is god for your mantal health, as good as yoga. You may think your lightbulb is dim but all your steps are in the right direction

Thriftylass well done on the realistic list and your goals will all contribute to your physical and mental health (and gives you some 'me' time away from work and the kids)

greent lots of reasons for a celebratory takeaway. Eating and sleeping were good priorities, well done on managing morning prep

indigo be kind to yourself. Coffe and cake were 'too much' but you recognised this and you ren't doing it everyday.

Toni'sfriend I love the stealth decluttering. Flowers in pots sounds good

nannygladys your 'not much happening' sounds like lots of progress to me

Kerry Woman we all need a bag of crisps every now and then, you are doing everything else right

DawnW babies know that they are rulers of all they survey and laugh at their slaves feeble attempts to do their bidding

LavenderBee try to relax and have fun, bet the weather isn't helping either

swimming keep going with the EF, you will get there

I walked to crafts and back. 5 of us making jewellery with foam letters and shapes. Had fun and did what we do best, the blind girl did her best and even did some bead threading by herself (as well as making her 'own beads' by attaching sequin butterflies and a varitey of foam creatures (bees, butterflies, dragonflies and caterpillars to basic beads), the reluctant one did well after being coaxed into trying and loved the things she had made and the cadger asked for help and then sat issuing orders as the helper did most of the work.

Small spend but most food from the freezer/ cupboard. Tired but happy.

Today I am grateful for a pleasant afternoon (except when I am 'too slow' to keep up with everyone's demands), an afternooon nap (got rid of a few aches and pains), walking both ways although I wasn't really in the mood (told myself to just try ), for doing something, even when I couldn't do it all, for the green bin not having been emptied (will report it tomorrow if they don't come back, but missed bins aren't collected until Monday so I can do a bit more weeding and cutting back at the weekend and it wil be less time to the next collecction)

    6 Best doctors REST

Well since I can't sleep, I may as well trawl the internet looking for quotes about not being able to sleep

We read in bed because reading is half way between life and dreaming

I do this cute thing where I stay up all night and feel like death in the morning

A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for everything Irish proverb

Dear mind, please stop thinking so much at night. I need sleep

Good sleep is essential for your physical and mental health
Poor sleep (less than 6 hours)

increases the risk of stroke four fold
increases the risk of obesity be 30% (sets off sugar cravings)
less than 6 hours long-term increses the risk of heart disease by 48%
poor sleepers have increased signs of skin aging
losing 1.5 hours sleep reduces daytime alertness by up to 32%
20% increase in risk of high blood pressure
lack of deep sleep reduces the body's sensitivity to insulin and increases the risk of type 2 diabetes

less than 7 hours reduces the efectiveness of your immune system

    PROMOTING GOOD SLEEP
Have a warm bath before bedtime
    Don't drink alcohol at night
Keep the bedroom cool 60 degrees
Keep afternoons naps under 20 minutes
Have regular bedtime and waking times (before 10.30pm)
    No caffeine after noon
Keep the tv out of the bedroom
Turn off the tv (laptop/ phone) at least one hour before bedtime
    Avoid harsh light
Don't use your bed for anything other than sleep and sex
Keep your pets and children out of your bed (good luck with that)
Dim house lights about 3 hours before bed
Get up and read if you don't fall asleep withing 15 minutes
Exercise daily but finish well before bedtime
Eat foods with trytophan (beans, nuts, peanut butter) 2-3 hours before bedtime
    Try a few stretches
    (Was more but that's enough0

If you sleep naked you will sleep better, prevent the growth of yeast and bacteria and lose weight more easily.

Oh dear mothernerd I have been up since 3:45-4 as well (suspect I fell asleep after 1:30, was definitely dealing with the cat at 1...). I managed to resist playing with my phone until just before 5. It made no difference :o hopefully we'll be extra tired for tonight and sleep like logs!

    Morning all.

Not much going on here, had a grocery delivery yesterday so am well stocked for the week. I was going to buy some watercress to make soup but then thought I have plenty of carrots in and some ginger so will use those instead.

Ran yesterday and will cycle today, walked the dog in the woods for an hour yesterday. House is reasonably clean and washing is on the line.

My updates will be short and sweet for the time being. Computer had a huge meltdown and I can't afford to replace it.

Today has been a spend day. Saw the girls and went to KFC. I did sell somethings. I have an agreement in place with my friend that I give him x amounts a month until I move. So I gave my friend £20.

Well, my living room looks like an Amazon delivery depot but I don't mind. In fact I'm feeling very happy. A few short year's ago this Boy was in such a bad place. No money, no job, could barely get out of bed, wasn't looking after himself, living in what I can only describe as a tip. He's turned his life around. So for all of you out there who are feeling overwhelmed by life (and I know there are quite a few) please believe that with help, support and love you can and WILL do the same. It isn't easy. It takes time. But you can get there.
Anyway to today. Not an NSD as I bought some plants. Couldn't get pansies but found some kalanchoe which I've put in pretty pots (hidden in the cellar) beside the lavender. I can't smell anything but I'm told it's wonderful. Aldi have some lovely fuchia towers next week which Himself has promised to buy me because flowers and plants really lift my spirits. I think it comes from growing up with a Grandad who had the most beautiful garden (and grew all our vegetables). Simple things can make you feel very happy.
Beautiful day again today. I've washed (and ironed) two sets of bedding that I'm giving to the Boy. I guess that counts as decluttering.
Freezer things for tea. Pizza followed by apple pie. Not too healthy but could be worse.
Mothernerd - your quotes are inspirational. xx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
