I did buy a few things but they were all YS
Baby plasterer cancelled again
Ate well, was actually tempted by a coffee out or a drink, or just something as I was in a bad mood, well, not a bad mood. Maybe a restless mood. I just could not stay in the house today. So wandered around all the charity shops for 3 hours (there are ten in close proximity, and two not so close) looked at stuff, then came home and had a coffee instead. It probably counts as exercise.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for finding the ehic I had mislaid at work(put it in the other pink box, silly goose) and locating the passport that'd been handed in (note to self: don't get distracted my other people's suggestions until you have finished going through all your own), for being able to skedaddle at lunchtime, for really helpful colleagues, for the sunshine, for a trip out to liddle + the ch shop with dd (we are livin' the high life), for finding barely-used sandals for dd plus 2 bday gifts inthe ch shop, for getting more marking done, for attaching 2 bamboo poles to the back of the bench with cable ties - slowly, slowly screen off the monkey...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

All food from home
Looked after / played with baby GS for an hour as his mum had an appointment
Managed the short walk to the park with OH and the dog - feeling a bit better today - also did 10 minutes or so weeding and watered the garden this evening, so plenty of outside time
Grateful for:
Feeling less tired today (I am recovering from surgery and finding things a bit of a struggle atm)
Baby laughing at my fumbling attempt to catch the toy that he kept trying to throw on the floor. He is only 6 months old - how does he KNOW something is funny?? :rotfl:

A bit of a disaster day - stressful and frustrating all round. All I can do is write it off and look forward to hubby coming home for the weekend. Ate well but ended up with a frozen cheese and tomato pizza for dinner through exhaustion and lack of energy to give a monkeys. Not a NSD as the food shopping was delivered this evening - £29.87 spent.
greent I do this with toiletries. I made the best cleanser/scrub from about 6 different "this product doesn't work for me" things mixed in an old jam jar. I shall be sad when it runs out.0 -

Reporting in a NSD taking me to 4 so far.
I did spend today but counting it as medical as my dog had an appointment with the cancer specialist.
I think I was away from the group at the time so it hasn't been mentioned but basically my rescue dog who we have had 2 years this month has cancer on her foot which is quite a rare, aggressive one.
There is the option of surgery but they wont get all the margins due to location and there is no known chemo drug that would work.
She looks and acts so well at the moment we are minded to just monitor things as she is getting on in age for her breed anyway - she has had a full CT scan so we know it hasn't spread. We have spent £2k on her so far.0 -
Asking myself “Is this necessary/realistic?” before purchases or adding to the To Do List.
June challenge. Only spent on one day so far this month, albeit multiple purchases but have kept on list/in budget, so on 5/15 NSDs.
Using the food I already have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base meals on. Will need to top up on the basics before the end of the week.
No takeaways or food on the run purchases.
Eating well is a form of self-respect. DCs back at school but still snacking.
Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Ongoing.
Debt and savings payments will be made first – all bills paid just the regular savings payments to go now. I will live on what is left.
Exercise. This still needs attention though I have been outside every day.
Set all your budgets before the start of the month. All budgets were set. Have some ideas where I can maximise purchasing power.
Someone somewhere is worse off than me. Donations still to be delivered, clutter to be cleared.
Every day check is not going to happen as this is only my second this month but am reading posts daily.
