Aw Victory, at least you can laugh about it though (that says a lot about your character!) and you didn't part with your life's savings!
Grannynise, I found what you said about compliments rather sad, because generally I think if someone takes the trouble to give a compliment, it's from the heart. I don't give compliments as often as I perhaps should, but when I do I really mean them. Please do try to find a way to accept and believe it when people compliment you, just as I'm sure you'd want others to accept your compliments.
Delly thank you so much for explaining the chart, it's probably best if I'm taken off because I don't think I can quite do 5lb/month. I did at first but each half stone is getting slower (even though I'm putting in every bit as much effort, often more!) Because mine is so slow, every time someone posts up a 4lb+ week I am completely amazed... I've never had one of those... well done :T
Gym ball workout - the dvd that came with the gym ball was pretty rubbish and consisted mostly of sitting around resting in between some very lame exercises :rotfl: . The woman was going "now wipe the sweat from your brow" and I'm like WHAT sweat, I've got more chance of breaking into a sweat walking up the stairs!
So I had a go at some other gym ball exercises I've seen an elite athlete doing and nearly did myself a mischief... got another dvd I'll try next time. So not the most successful day workout wise!0 -
Hi all, feeling a lot better today, I was having stabbing pains in my stomach & the doc suggested laxatives
which seemed to have worked. My appetite is back again and I actually woke up hungry today.
So feeling better although I'm too afraid to fart

Let me know!
Personally I'd like to keep the challenge, and the chart, cos I don't want to fall into the ineviable gorging myself over xmas and putting all the lost weight back on. Maybe just drop the target a little?Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

How about keeping it but banning guilt over Christmas?
Could do with the motivation, want to have lost my first stone by then!!

Morning all:D I have no weight to loose but I would want to keep the chart going if I had because it keeps you motivated, determined, focused and although yes xmas is coming and it is a nightmare food wise and keeping to the plan at leat keeping the chart you have something to aim for during the lead up to xmas, just my humble opinion:D
The sun is out today, bitterly cold but still off to walk into town and back, have to keep the exercise going, I had to laugh when the nurse suggested to me that walking and cycling was good in itself but I could consider the gym:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: uhm no;) I am happy with the exercise I do and I know that I always do more than 10.000 steps a day.
The photo shop didn't waste any time taking the money out, 7/8 weeks to wait now:D0 -
I'm all for keeping it going , would like to lose more before xmas and at the very least maintain over my xmas break fro RC.Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0

Morning everybody
Yeah it's freezing, I've done my first mile walk of the day, doing two more later, but I'm having a rest day from any workouts (since I got my knuckles rapped over not enough rest days a few pages back, hahaha!)
Victory, cycling is fantastic exercise isn't it, I've done that virtually all my life and I really enjoy it. I got a new bike earlier this year with money I made selling some of my old junk on eBay - see I was a good MSE girl even before I joined here
I don't intend to let things slide over Christmas. If I did, I'd probably set myself back a month and I don't want to do that. I'll eat a good Christmas dinner with my family and compensate with extra exercise but other than that it's business as usual!
Wishing everyone a great weekend whatever you have planned!
p.s. Is there any way I can stop this forum logging me out every time I spend a few minutes composing a reply?

Yes them both going, its all part and parcel of the motivationBecause we are all going to need it in the New Year
Would suggest the challenge runs until Wednesday 19th December so there is time for Christmas fun and frollicks :rudolf: Then perhaps restart the Challenge January 2nd? What do you ladies and Ajax think???
May I be the first to wish you a very Happy Christmas :snow_grin:xmastree::snow_laug:xmassign: remember christmas smileys are for life, not just for christmas
Morning all btw :hello:
Can it get any worse for my beloved Luton Townall those FA charages last week and now back in administration
Suggs, I put 100% into my 21+21 workout last night, gave it everything I had and ended up with 746 cal. That is probably the maximum I'll get because I don't think I'll try that again in a hurry! I'm glad my gym is at home because if I'd been at a gym and they'd seen the state of me afterwards they probably would have called an ambulance :rotfl: Congrats on your 1lb loss, same as me this weekAbout the IT exam, I vote for you to move it. The number one priority here has to be your result, and you don't feel prepared yet, so move it. A couple of days aren't important in the grand scheme of things.
Missyg (32F) I am really inpressed thats some going
believe me I look like I'm fit to drop after my work out. worse when a treadmill is involved :rotfl:Shame your DVD and exercise ball didnt work up too much of a sweat, perhaps I can help?? Now what about this mischief? Gym refurb is around two weeks from completion, The ladies are saying the mens changing rooms are lovely. If I find a hair in the shower, especially a short and curly one, when I finally get in the new changing room, there will be trouble
Anyway it was hard yesterday but knocked out 20min cycle level 13 407cals, 22min crosstrainer level 11 457cals total 864Day off today, done 5 straight days and its rugby tomorrow, local derby, so its going to hurt a tad
Bails, hope you have a good weekend away with your mates
Julesgr big big well done on the 40lb marker, KPC, I think I am going to have to look at these lasagne crisps, sounding better all the time. Petrichor, I could always warm my hands and measure for you??? As the Stockport man said to the female taxi driver, before getting a slap.....How much to Oldham??? Victory, shame about your experience with the photo's I always thought these things were meant to be a wonderful thing? x_raphael_xx a little to much information, but I do hope your better soon and not do what I did once the only time I had genuine flu??
Right back to the studying and pratice.

Please keep the chart going over Christmas. It's when I'll need the motivation the most.
I'm already panicking just slightly about the prospect of meals out with colleagues and eating at other people's homes when I just can't be completely in charge of what I eat. Then there's the issue of having the sort of food in the house which I just normally wouldn't have .... because I don't want to deprive every one else just becasue I shoudn't eat it.
I worry that if I wander off the straight and narrow for a few days (let's be honest it could be a few weeks) I may never get back on track:eek: and waste all the good I've done so far.
Can I ban Christmas? Shall I change my name to Scrooge?0 -
