Hi everybody, oooh lots to catch up on here!
Starlight, so sorry to hear about your weekend from hell at work. I don't know what it is you do, but I hope you don't have another one like it, ever. As for your scales, you'd better not have a "pre" weigh in next week if the first reading is the lower oneCongrats on the loss.
Suggs, I put 100% into my 21+21 workout last night, gave it everything I had and ended up with 746 cal. That is probably the maximum I'll get because I don't think I'll try that again in a hurry! I'm glad my gym is at home because if I'd been at a gym and they'd seen the state of me afterwards they probably would have called an ambulance :rotfl: Congrats on your 1lb loss, same as me this weekAbout the IT exam, I vote for you to move it. The number one priority here has to be your result, and you don't feel prepared yet, so move it. A couple of days aren't important in the grand scheme of things.
Julesgr, another one on the injured listHope that gets better soon.
Congrats Grannynise, Beanielou, Efrieze, Anic and anyone else who's lost or STS this week. Big hugs for you Bails, sorry you are/were feeling fed up. Things will get better, and when they do you will appreciate it all the more. So nice to hear the mirror story this morning!
Petrichor, glad you enjoy your mini stepper! I shouldn't really have bought it as I have enough gym equipment, but I plan to use it just as a top-up here and there. As for bra shopping, I can only say that being measured for size made a world of difference to me, I was wearing completely the wrong size (36C when I should have been 32F!). You don't have to remove your bra, only your top, it doesn't take long and the ladies who do it won't bat an eyelid. You have a DD so presumably you've been through MUCH worse than a bra measurement!
Victory, I was thinking about you yesterday and hoping it went OK. Glad you got three pictures you liked! If you're ever looking at having some pics done again or if anyone else is, you don't have to choose a makeover studio. There are alternatives where you won't get the bullying and pressure tactics (and where you won't spend a fortune OR have to wait two months for the pics). Victory, you didn't seem to feel you had any control in this shoot at all and that's a shame because it sounds like it showed in the pictures and it has put you off now. I was amazed that you wanted a certain haircut but were 'not allowed' to have it. You were the customer!
Dellybelly, I've just noticed I'm on the chartCan I ask why it is the 2lb weight loss club, but the goal is 5lb/month as I've never quite understood that bit? I wasn't going to join the 'chart' as my target is only 1lb/week now so I thought that was too small to be included? Thank you for adding me on there though! If I'm to stay on there I'll give you the rest of my numbers.
I have to dash now and I still haven't caught up with all the posts! Back in a bit hopefully....0 -
Hi Suggs, I think it would be good to postpone the exam by a little - if I were your boss I would respect that decision and as someone else says, it's the result that's important. Serendis had good advice too though, if you don't think you'll use the extra time then don't prolong the agony.
Well done Julesgr on reaching the 40lb mark, that's fab!:T:T
I'm not motivated at all at the moment, need to relax off for a bit to concentrate on the other things that are affecting my food intake. I'm off to see my mates in Manchester this weekend so I'm going to have a break from all the money worries etc and just enjoy myself. I'll use the beginning of next week to a) recover from the weekend and then b) prepare some menu plans/meals to reinspire me. I'd like to lose just a little bit in the run up to Christmas so that I can have a bit of leeway (I will be with my mum after all!) and not go over the 12 stone mark. Then once back into a routine at home, I'll work on the rest. My brother's not getting married til October now so I have a little more timeThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Justmarried - this is why I like doing the waist measurement as well as weighing myself, because if you don't get a result with one, you might with the other!
Georgiebrown - Good luck with going for the 2lb LOSS (lol Suggs) this week! Work it on that treadmill!
I'm going to try a gym ball workout thingy today, first time with that other than just doing basic sit ups on one.
Question for maintainers or anyone really - what makes you decide when to stop losing weight? My target was 10st originally, but I keep wanting to go for another half stone. I'm now coming up on 8.5st, still as motivated as ever and very tempted to go for 8st - but I don't just want to be slim, I want to be strong, fit and toned which obviously I'm working on too.0 -
Thanks again for your help. Exam has been moved from Monday to Wednesday lunchtime, and I can keep moving it as long as there is 24 hours notice. I have my appraisal the following week as would like to have the pass done by then
Just had some work news through about a restructing so mind not on the study anyways

hi all, can't beleive how many pages you've racked up in a couple of days. Work has been manic and food has been on the naughty side but I'm taking control again and not letting myself totally go to pot. Hour one RIGHT NOW!!
Suggs, try and get a mock exam paper or something and see how that goes. If it flummoxes you get the extra couple of days and go for it. We all know you can achieve things when you set your mind to it.
BB, lasagne crisps were dead easy, I got them off the LW recipe thread - it's lois's recipe and under SW tortill chips. Anic, the raita recipe is off that thread too - onion bhajis with raita dip.
Can't believe efrieze and poohbear are without heating now too!!!!!!
welcome joeyemma, nice to have you with us. YOu seem to have joined the thread at a time when Suggs and Ajax are both particularly frisky - hope you're having as much fun as we are! Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your photoshoot so much Victory - i'm sure you'll be able to get some nice ones over christmas. Did your dress feel good?
Back to work now!!0 -

Thanks for all the kind words:D about the tablets, we'll just have to wait and see ifthere are any side affects but if it affects the insulin I am straight off them:D
about the haircut I wanted more straight bobby type and was told that I had too many layers into it so it would no go as I had thought and would be best to lengthen it out before attempting to have that haircut, the upshot was she cut it to an inch of it's life so will not be able to have it in that style for many a while now:rotfl: :rotfl:
NO, I never had any control in the shoot, they were after speed, next person, immediate payment and money spoke more than are you pleased? I did tell the make up lady that the red lipstick was far too much and oh the blusher:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: that came out in the photo and when I told him he said he could charge me £10 a photo to touch it up and airbrush it off:eek: I told him my 7 year old can do that in the photo suite we have on our pc;)
The red lipstick bled on the photos, the blusher was far too much, I looked a haggered old slapped on make up mess, I just chose the 3 photos that were in a professional pose that you do not normally take yourself and put it down to a bad experience:D
I am going to get my own camera out, take some of the family, I bought these magnetic photo fridge magnets from boots for £1.50, come in a pack of 3 and will be a fun xmas stocking filler, better amateur and fun than professional and a horror story:rotfl: :rotfl:
suggs good luck with your exams;)
I loved the front page of the sun newspaper today, a burst ball, with a black background and the score of last nights game, brilliant:rolleyes:0 -
No internet from now as OH has loads of work to do, prob won't be logging on now til after weekend so hope you all have a good one and I'll 'see' you next week. Good luck with the revising Suggs xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Victory I'm really sorry thayour photo shoot truly didn't work out, but I'm very impressed that you can accept compliments gracefully. I'm still working on that one. I wonder sometimes if I sabotage my own attempts at weightloss in order to avoid the compliments entirely.0

missyg - the chart was originally started by Lois Lane as a way to motivate ourselves into aiming for that healthy 2lbs per week (it was also a parody of the £2 coin savers club on another thread). So each week we aim to lose the 1 or 2lbs per week that is recommeded by healthy guidelines.
The monthly challenge? You know I think I started that by accident saying I'd set myself a goal of 7lbs off in a month wayy back a year or more ago when I first joined the thread and asking if anyone wanted to join me. It was later reduced to 5lbs per month as some people (as you can see from the weekly chart) struggle to lose 2lbs per week through illness/medication and of course our social lives and pmt.
Oh, as for Lois I sent her a message on facebook last night asking where she'd been. She's fallen off the wagon at the mo and needs to re-focus so she's taking some time off trying to lose weight, she's still out there lurking so you can pm her if you wish! I'm sure she'd apprieciate it.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Ok I have a quick question. Since it's coming up to Christmas and this is the last week of the November challenge, would anyone like it if we suspended the challenge and/or the chart for the coming month and started again in January?
Or would you prefer that it continues as it is so we can keep track?
Let me know!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0
