    Hi All,

Suffering from a bit of insomnia at the minute and found this website with pointed and portioned recipes - for all you Weight watchers members out there. One or two useful ones for coming up to Christmas too - Dinner plus all the trimmings 9 points. Christmas cake (iced!) for 6 pts per slice, Christmas pudding for 5.5 pts per portion including brandy butter.

It always helps to be prepared!

    Edel.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.

I have just been reading an interesting USA article about weight gain at TOTM, they surveyed 100,000 women and the weight gain went from 2 lb to 10 lb the average being 4.2lb of what they call 'artificial weight gain' as in it is not fat based, just water retention and comes off immediately...

I was thinking though, imagine being one of the women that weight gains 10 lb because that is a different dress size, so every month you would have to be in two different dress sizes, now that would be upsetting:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Thanks delly FOr the link:D

I have just been reading VB diet for the spice girls tour, 5 days of hot lemon and organic fruit and veg only, then after that 5 small meals a day-brown rice with veg and steamed fish, every meal has to have beetroot for it's goodness and handfuls of nuts, she has a 23" waist, petrified she will weight gain and says that she cannot eat that much, crumbs and the kids look up to her, 5 days of hot lemon and fruit, great if you can detox and can put up with it but in the long run surely not healthy, have you seen her knees? Her acne? Her bones? My son's waist is 29" and he is a teenager:D

Remind me when I was 18?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning all! Hope everyone is well and happy today!

I'm wearing my new Dorothy Perkins trousers, it feels so good to have a pair that fit again! So my day is off to a good start. Petricor, good luck on Thursday, you WILL find the perfect trousers! They are out there somewhere. I got one pair in DP's and two more in Debenhams.

Victory - wedding photography is a completely different ball game and I'm sure the photographer CAN justify £1,755. A typical wedding shoot will involve about 50 hours of work so from £35 an hour in this case, the photographer has to cover their tax, NI, huge overheads (£20,000 or so of equipment and backup equipment which needs updating/maintaining), insurance, perhaps pay an assistant, and cover all the other associated costs of a running a business before they arrive at their take home pay. If any photographer is charging much less than this, they're definitely cutting corners somewhere.

I am so glad your friend's daughter loves her wedding photos. There are many con artists in this field who present a professional front, but have no training or artistic ability and then the bride only finds out when they receive a disappointing set of pictures. She obviously got a good one!

On a separate note Victory, I wish I could not buy the foods that tempt me, but I do for my son. He is a wonderful eater who in no way needs to be on a diet with me, so I'm not going to deny him crisps and biscuits etc. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has all sorts of forbidden things around and just has to have willpower of steel!

Cheery Daff - at 27 that makes you, in fact, exactly a decade younger than me! How spooky! Don't worry about the double milky way, if we are going to be slimming twins then you need to handicap yourself somehow against my older years ;) Just kidding.

Yikes this is getting long and rambling, I'll catch up some more later!

    Morning All

Trust all is well, Finally caught up with my post cairo weight gain, so I have now lost 1lb :)

I know I should be maintianing, but I come back from Cairo two weeks ago and wether it was due to the hot weather? the cairo belly or the food, I had gained 8lb  most of the regular viewers of this thread will know that every single time I go away, I put on weight (except for last year and scrabble) but 8lb was a shock for only 4 days and I couldnt even eat that much!!! Anyway I got back in the gym then had a bad couple of days last week with the work course and bowling. So I am more than happy to have got to my pre-cairo weight and a little extra :)

Welcome to cheery Daff, nice name, guess your scottish then??? lol and a little bit younger than me and missyg

The flippin' boots scales are not working again:mad: so put me down for a maintain, nothing unusual has happened in the last week apart from a toby carvery so can't see much difference, I look forward to my tuesdays with the weigh in but they say they are fixing them...again:rolleyes:

Victory are we not meant to be maintaining ;) or are you maintianing the same way I have :) I know what you feel about Boots, last week I had to power it off/on as it was saying 4kg with no-one standing on it!!
Oh no! Suggs, Meatloaf has a cyst on his vocal cords!!

Thanks raphael, MrsSuggs now really annoyed as she is not going to see him for the third time this year!! all remaining concerts have been cancelled. Fingers crossed for a full recovery and maybe he will be back next year? I recall reading in a magzine about bangers and mash and the mash was made with califlower?? Healthy I guess, but what would it taste like? Surely spuds, boiled and mashed with little milk and no butter is not that bad???

    Lois your so cagey :)
