When do we get to see you in your nice undies Suggs? Just wondering.;)

Errr.......when you look at the slideshow and notice that one of the pics is not in my swimming trunks, but my boxers :) nah nah ne na nah!! :p So you offering to pose for me then?? ;) I thought only missyg was up for it???

Changing the subject a wee tad.... Dragon and Starlight, Sorry to hear about the ever so light gains, however, MrsSuggs has also gained and when she saw this, she said it must be her 'winter weight'. I never heard of this, but she said that she tends to gain a few pound in the Autumn because of the change in what we tend to eat?? Im not saying she is right, but it might mean it may only be a blip? The weather gets colder, so the body decides to hold onto a little bit of fat, in an effort to keep warm??? Im sure if you continue the good work, it will start to move once again :) Just a
    thought.

Belated welcome to Tiby, sorry thought I had posted a welcome to you. Hope it all goes well on your journey, I personally still have a sweettooth and when the tooth keeps nagging "feed me" I try to find something small and sweet, raisins, dried apricots or even the Freddo choc bar, to keep the nagging at bay. But I rarely if ever have lots of choc in the house.

This is the after Suggs (well very nearly), not much point wasting good money on nice undies that soon won't fit!

Thanks for giving me a smile :D

Right back on subject - glad I could and did make you smile, thats what it is all about, making people smile and feeling good about themselves :D

Have just checked .... I assume it was the June 2007 picture as you seem to be in the privacy of your own home? I was averting my eyes from your nether regions actually. :o Anyway I said nice undies. Plain black doesn't really do it for me.

Something Suggs just said has reminded me I was going to ask: is it possible that I feel the cold more now that I'm thinner?

Also, I have a young friend (very early 20's) who is losing weight too, and it's dropping off her although she appears to be eating substantially more and exercising somewhat less than me. Obviously I'm delighted for her, but I am wondering if it's easier to lose weight when you're younger?

I had such a great day today! Shopping was productive, I walked 4 miles, did a difficult Pilates dvd, was on track with weight loss at my weigh in, received a fab freebie in the mail, 'won' something on Freecycle, and didn't have a larger portion for lunch (which I admit I have done before after a positive weigh in!)

I wish everyone on here a similarly great day tomorrow!

dragon and starlight :D there are many reasons why but always the best thing to do is to never give up, don't get too upset and just carry on, the more weeks you move forward the more you will loose and as it has been said xmas is only 7 weeks away and you can make a huge difference in that time;) :D at least a stone:D

    well done delly:j :j

missgy I would say yes it is easier to loose weight being younger, I don't know the scientific reasons but I guess the metabolism is faster when you are younger, it certainly was harder for me this time around being older, that and the fact that I moved about more when I was younger without realising, playing sports, walking etc and not giving it much thought but as you get older you slow down and all the exercise is sometimes done for specific weight loss rather than the norm ... I know you have said she exercises less than you but her metabolism will play a major part in it.,...

Ok, you got me, but I did say I wasn't wearing a thong for just anyone ;)

My H has bought me from last minute.com the above, excellent xmas pressie ,especially as now it is on 2 for 1 ( I am going to use both for me!!) I have booked an appointment for Nov 21st, takes 4/6 hours for the hair, make up nails and photos, that is the bit I am looking forward to, to have a professional take photos of me (you have to take 4/6 outfits with you to change in for the photos once the hair etc is done)...

You can save 50% off the photos if you buy them before you go (bizarre I know!) did not do that as I really want to see them before I pay or choose;)

I am really excited about it, all the glam, attention and at the end of it a fab photo to take home, excellent, this stemmed from me asking H to take some photos and he said no as he is no David Bailey and then he came up with this:D I want the photos now incase the weight comes back:rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Missyg yes, the layers of fat usually keep you warmer - you're probably in for your coldest winter ever

and yesIt's is an unfortunate fact that it is harder to lose weight as you get older. WW even allocate you less points as you get older!

Dragon I'm sorry to hear of your pain. I'm hoping you're feeling better this week

victory - a make over and photo session! lucky you! I hope you're going to post the pics on for us when you get them.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Morning all. The scales say I have gained 1lb this week, although I put it down to going out for dinner last night, the night before weigh-in...plus I guess I have had a slightly more relaxed week. I usually call this type of week a maintain but I have decided to acknowledge the slight gain and get on with my life! I lost 3 lbs last week which was a surprise so perhaps it is just my body evening itself out. I think the same might be true for you starlight_xxx...you lost 4lbs last week and up 2 lbs this week - it is just evening out - and a 2lb loss over 2 weeks is not bad at all. Hope that makes you feel a bit better...

Thank you for the answers victory and delly! At least now I know it's officially not a level playing field with me and my friend...!

It looks like I might have to go shopping for a winter coat, because I have been freezing already this year and it's only November. I'm not very good at shopping for coats, are there any stylists here?! :rotfl:

victory - enjoy your photo session, hope you have a fab day! Remember to set a budget for your prints because I'm sure you're aware sometimes you will get the hard sell, though I'm not saying this will happen where you're going. Have fun - practice your posing before you go! Hope you have a good day at work.

efrieze - great attitude there! We're not always going to lose weight every single week (well, maybe some will!) but as long as the overall trend is downwards that's what matters!
