Owch poor dragon and starlight, but don't let it get you down. Stay on here and stay good. I managed to break the weekendbinge eating cycle for the first time in weeks. However the plumber has just left me with still no boiler which may not be conducive to healthy eating this evening.

I have finished taking the steroids (I hope!) for the moment, a lot depends on how much pain I am in this coming week. I think I need to dig my thick winter socksies out!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Delly how did DH cope with his first week back at work? He must have been very tired but was it a positive boost fo him overall
[/quote]
BB - yes, overall his going back to work was a good thing. His manager has been very understanding and put him on Mon-Fri 8 to 5 for a while to ease him gently back into work rather than straight back to shifts. He has been quite tired but I've been forcing him to get to bed early all week.
Thank goodness, lets just hope it continues for a while longer!
Dragon I'm sorry to hear of your gain and of your being in pain. Has the doctor tried any other form of pain releif? what about the patches? My MiL uses them on a regular basis as she has bad arthritis and a worn disc in her spine
Starlight I would say that your gain this week is almost definitely a lag back from last week. Try not to worry too much about it. You've been good again for the past week, don't risk a gain 2 weeks in a row. It's been 42 -44 weeks of losing consistently and this is your first blip! Well done Mrs. That's a fantastic achievement. Maybe you need to give this:to all those horrible people who took you out for meals last week!
Oh and I meant to say: Despite having Chinese on Tuesday and again on Saturday and burgers on Friday plus all the rubbish from Halloween and DS's birthday party I've managed to lose ANOTHER 1LB
Hurray for me! Now, given that I've just told Starlight that her birthday week has probably caught up with her, I guess this week I need to be extra careful so that I don't show up a massive gain next week. It's just as well I'm on the straight run into Christmas now with nothing planned (oh, except OH's work gave him a voucher for a meal out for work he did last march - it's been sitting in the office since he went off!). So I think we may be going out for dinner this Friday night but I'm going to save my points up for it like a good little Dellybelly!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Bails --- I'm assuming when you say L1 you mean his attainment level???? and you taught him to spell because in only one lesson!!!! You should be proud of yourself. I'm impressed.:T :T
Tiby Hello! I find total denial of chocolate leads to tears later. I have a very small amount (actually a fun size packet of chocolate buttons) in the cupboard and because I know they are there and I can eat them whenever I want to I just don't eat them and I don't buy any chocoalate anywhere else. (Note to self.... sentence is much too long. Bails will have her red pen out)
When do we get to see you in your nice undies Suggs? Just wondering.;)0 -

Hi Delly
I basically have Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome now - so I am in pain all the time (which I live with all the time) and sometimes it gets worse and the only thing that touches it is the steroidal based pain killers (even then it only takes the edge off it - if you know what I mean)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I actually prefer to spell it Ayden, but that's just me being difficult!
