Well done x_raphael:j :j how about the mini mince pies they sell in all the supermarkets? You still get the same need met but as they are smaller they are less calories, less fat etc....

I really can't deal with knowing things to eat that I should not eat are in the house so I do not buy them, my downfall is white bread and bacon, if I buy it, I spend so much time thinking about them and knowing they are there I end up having loads of them, 111 calories a slice of thick white bread when WW brown malted is 49 per slice, then end up feeling bad, my diabetic numbers go up with the extra food and the fat which is not used to so I end up suffering considerably more than the pleasure so I don't bother very often:D that and milk chocolate digestive biscuits which I am not even supposed to have being diabetic are my passions, when I do have them I only have at the most 2 which is 84 calories per biscuit so that can be incorporated within the calorie allowance or WW points system....

I am pleased to say I do not miss all that I used to have it is just sometimes I get fed up with being hungry, not starvingly so but just hungry, I miss my belly being full:rotfl: :rotfl:

What food takes the hunger away for you? Has to be low fat, low sugar, low calorie of course!

Petrichor - I now exactly what you mean with trousers I've just spent all afternoon looking for a pair for work as I can now fit into a size 20. I had a hard time finding trousers with waists rather than ones that sit on hips! plumped for a bargain pair from Tesco in the end.

Raph - Get low sugar jam then you can be extra good

Well, my FAVE ever dinner is bangers & mash with mountains of cabbage swimming in onion gravy. Not very healthy thou!

My fave healthy meal is grilled fish, usually peppered mackrel, with salad and either jacket spud, boiled pots or spicy rice.

Welcome cheery daff and stop bragging about your age!:D

well done on your 4lbs plus off this week raphael - it seems you've found the switch and "clicked" it to on.:j

victory - the best food for keeping you feeling satisified is protein and soup. That truth about food programme we keep talking about proved that soups keeps you fuller for longer. But I also find that if I have a higher protein meal, I stay fuller for longer than if I have a higher fat/carb meal. I think I'm going to have to look at upping the protein in my diet in future to keep this going.

I have to admit, I'm really on to shine my halo today!:A My SiL's birthday was yesterday and I went to visit with her gift today - and REFUSED biccis with the tea. I also went to see my Mum when I picked OH up from work and REFUSED mince pies (love them too!) and buns at hers - Petrichor the vibes from your earlier post must have kept me strong today!

I've not got a tonne of fruit in to eat later - really want day 1 to be a good un'
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Well done delly and raphael angel2.gif.
Not a brill day: back went mad last night and I was yelping everytime I moved (OH asked rather sheepishly if I couldn't yelp a bit more ecstaticly bearing in mind the lodger downstairs can probably hear me :rotfl: ) so not a lot of sleep, and then woke with a migraine so a right old cripple today. Off to bed soon as very sleepy.(Dragon you have even more sympathy from me after the day I've had)
Weigh IN: Delly put me own for a maintain this week please. I think I may have lost a little but didn't go to meeting coz of back and will just get a higher loss in next week's weigh in.
    Good night all.

    Hi folks

I'm just back from a weekend away with my friend. Great weekend but food wise an absolute disaster - I wish I was going back to the docs in two weeks time instead of next week. It might give me a chance to get even again.

I got off to a bad start when we got on the train and she produced a box of 6 caramel shortcakes and 6 refrigerator cakes and a huge bag of snacks from Marks and Spencers to keep up going till we got there (as well as the nice healthy salad sandwiches I had packed for both of us). There were only two of us and we were only going to be on the train for about three hours - maybe she was worried we would be caught in a landslide or something and starve before they came to rescue us!!

The whole weekend went in a similar direction - mega over eating and cocktails by the jugfull.

Never mind getting back on the wagon tomorrow - I am going to be mega good and I might hope to catch up with it again in about a fortnight.

I promise that I am gonig to be good from now on as I don't want to go back up the way again.

I am getting worried about going back to the docs next week - I seem to have had one thing after another all month (chinese buffet, civic dinner, a week away at Blackpool and then this weekend). I feel as though I am making excuses but when temptation is put in my way - I can't seem to say no.

I keep trying to think of the weight I have lost so far and am trying to keep motivated but am feeling really guilty about what I have had over the weekend.

I know the weekend has now passed and I should forget it as I enjoyed it at the time and start again tomorrow.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hopefully it won't be too bad when I go back next week.
