Hi everyone! hows it all going?

I parked my car and walked half way to work, on my feet for four hours then walked back. Dont think i'll be able to do that for a whole day mind! Saved £2 in the process for parking, woo. Panicked as i came back because i saw a few signs for car clamping and could imagine this big yellow clamp on my wheel! it would be just my luck!

My arms are sore from the mini workout i did yesterday with the weights ha. I obviously need to warm up a bit more? heh.

Now i cant find the motivation to do assignments. I have started playing call of duty 4 on the xbox 360. I knew i shouldnt have but instead of getting a craving for food im craving that instead. At least i can stuff my face and work at the same time.

Grannynise: sounds like youve have a blimming good weekend! Even if you havent lost or in the worst case scenario, put on, youve had a good time and lbs can be lost another week, good times you gotta grab with both hands

Glad you had a lovely time suggs :D

I was reading Liz hurleys tricks she uses on herself to diet today and one of them is to use smaller plates and smaller cutlery, although I draw the line at kids cutlery size:rotfl: I do the smaller plate idea, I so wanted a piece of toast today but know me and thought best not as one slice will end up in four/six, half the loaf but decided to test myself by cutting the one slice of brown nimble wholemeal toast into tiny pieces so there seemed more:rotfl: it worked because I had only one slice, crumbs that is a first for me, never heard of before, was the loaf of bread not made just for me?:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am quite proud of that, learning that one slice is better than no slice and resenting it so badly that the one slice turns into half a loaf through rebellion of not being allowed it, I must admit it took a lot to leave it at one as it was on my mind but I switched my hot lemon for hot bovril and that sort of makes you believe you are eating something:rotfl:

Maybe there is hope for this self appointed greedy pig after all:D

hi all not been on since thursday been busy. Work was chaos at the weekend. We had our busiest sunday of the whole year this week & took over £145,000 at thats just between 10 & 4, I had 4 1/2 on express on Sat & both my card readers went down so ended up with a queue half way down the store & had to make everyone sign for their shopping. Was on the same till on sunday for 4 hours but luckily the card readers were working properly. Was supposed to be working an extra shift thurs night but they phoned at lunchtime to say that all overtime this week has been cancelled so not needed now till saturday. I got home from work sunday & the house was dark apart from the xmas tree lights my hubby shouted at me not to put the lights on & crawled across the floor & went straight upstairs to bed with a migraine & didn't get up till lunchtime yesterday so I ended up getting DD fed, bathed & bed on my own & sort out a half cooked roast dinner that he'd kindly left for me to finish cooking then didn't want it.

Norwich yesterday was a disaster. Didn't get to the park & ride till 1pm so by time i got into the city it was 1.15. tried on a few coats found 1 I liked only £25 in primark they only had 1 in my size but half the buttons were missing couldn't find another one I liked that I could afford so still no coat. I tried on some lovely dresses too for the xmas do on saturday 1 in bay trading was gorgeous but £35 the biggest size was a 16 & im still in an 18. It did up all the way till it reached my boobs then wouldn't budge. So no dress either. I've got a black satin trouser suit upstairs & new look have got some lovely silver satin long blouses with capped sleeves & a belt in the sale for £7 so might pop into town tomorrow & get one & wear it with my satin suit.

didn't get any xmas presents either I got a few bits from primark to put away for my DD for next year & some lovely PJ's for her for xmas only £3. Tried to get my DD's ears pierced too in Claire's but the girl was on her own so couldn't do it cos they need 2 staff apparently 1 for each ear so she was upset.. well until she got the bus to go back to the car at 6.15. Bless she's only 2 1/2 & has only been on a bus a coupla times before so was well excited especially cos the bus for the park & ride we used was a pink one. The first thing she told her daddy when we got home was "Daddy I went on a pink bus"

anyway got to go now. Going to Tesco to do my shopping in a bit. Tah Tah
Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

...ajax How's MrsA today? I hope that you're still doling out the tlc. Have you bought Bailey's Christmas present yet? I went into a pet store the other day and there some brilliant presents for dogs :j . When I had dogs I used to buy AND wrap presents for them :rotfl: ...

....until I get home from work I won't really know about MrsA - I leave the house for work at 6.30am and don't get back until 7.30pm. From what I can tell by text she just wants to get up and move around but I've asked her to put that off until as late as she can without driving herself mad. I think that will be tomorrow, she's been confined to bed by me until then. Her family pop in and do things like make a drink or walk Bailey. Speaking of which, his presents are not bought yet, but we have prepared his Xmas card to Rocky. Rocky is another dog which was given a home by one of MrsA's workmates, and Bailey has no idea Rocky exists, but is sending him a home-made card anyway. Fret not, Bailey will do very well this festive season :)

Ajax - I hope MrsA improves quickly - no time is good for a broken ankle!

.....a broken ankle AND a broken leg :(

It's just going to have to be chip shop chips for tea tonight... after getting up at 5.30 to go dog walking, then getting home after doing a 12 hour shift, I just can't manage anything else. Day before weigh-in too :(

    Hi all

Haven't logged on for a while so have taken a wee while to catch up.

Ajax - your meal sounded absolutely fantastic but what a horrible end to such a lovely evening. Hope Mrs A is feeling a lot better

Delly & Julesgr - sorry to hear of your sad news - big hugs to you both.

Vixarooni - Hiya - glad you could join this big happy bunch. They are always so helpful and give the right advice just when it is needed.

Skint-Catt - Wow - what an incentive - I wish it was me. I find it really helps if you have a goal to aim for and it will all be worthwhile in the end.

Missyg - Great to hear your change in routine still gave the right results - well done.

Starlight, Efrieze & Krazeychick - Big hugs to you both too - it is horrible when you are eating all the right things and nothing seems to move. Hopefully your metabolism will get a wee kick start soon and you will be back on track.

Pet - I nearly got into trouble at work today because of you. I was trying to have a fly read when no-one was looking and burst out laughing at your with your own pom-poms. My boss turned round and looked at me so I had to log off and make a lame excuse about getting a funny e-mail. I just love your smileys - they are great.

Suggs - Amsterdam sounded great - and well done with your appraisal at work. Hope Mrs S feels better soon.

Victory - How's the knee - hopefully feeling a bit better - are the new arthritis tablets taking effect yet too?

Beanie - Hope you got on okay at the hospital

Hope I haven't missed anyone out.

Can I put myself down for another 2lb off please. Although I don't really know how!! Because of my boys' birthdays it has been a week of constant eating, meals out, birthday cake, sweets, etc. In fact when I weighed myself in Boots I nearly fell of the scales.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it won't show up this week instead.

    Good luck to everyone else.

...Suggs That hotel sounds lovely, I'm going to get MrP to read it and hopefully it'll inspire him to take me (somewhere, anywhere, fat chance!! the miserable git :rotfl: ) DD spent some time studying in Hamburg 3 years ago and she told us how lovely the Christmas market was, and I've wanted to go ever since, MrP promised me we'd go this year but alas no trip (the miserable git:rotfl: )...

    'Morning Peeps

As I managed to scare everyone away last night I'll keep it short :j ...

...At the weekend I bought some of the Mr Kipling Orange and Cranberry Mini Classics (like tiny sponge sandwich cakes) and Christmas Pudding Slices. As they're portion controlled and calorie counted they can easily be incorporated into a calorie controlled diet. They are really nice (especially the sponge cakes), I managed to stick at eating only one on Monday and one on Tuesday :j (last year I would have had a couple at each sitting, until they'd all gone :o ), thoroughly enjoying them and I can recommend them as an alternative to the more calorie laden goodies that are about at the moment. I shall definitely be buying some more in for a treat at Christmas:D ...

...I showed MrP Suggs' post about the hotel in Amsterdam (hoping), he promptly went on about the trips his work colleagues have gone on to there, and after about 10 minutes I'd lost the will to live :rotfl: :rotfl: ...

...Anyway, time now for today's seasonal picture and as it's the Festival of Lights I thought I'd use this as a gesture christmaslightsarchth2.gif...

...Have a lovely day everyone, and I hope that those of you still to weigh in have good results :)...

I have been having a nightmare trying to log onto MSE recently, anyone else had this problem? Just off to catch up...

Okay, caught up now, glad I haven't missed reams of the stuff! Suggs, glad you had a lovely time; Ajax, chips are aloowed atfer a day like that; happy to see we have lots of stationery geeks on here (just don't go stealing any of mine! Grannynise, you win, I want your job now!)...

Brain already mashed, sorry (didn't sleep well) so I'll just say well done to all the losers this week, and the maintainers, and the gainers - everyone in fact! The important thing is that however we're doing we still keep posting so we can all be proud of ourselves.

Good luck to anyone yet to weigh in and for the coming week xx
