Lose Weight 16

Hi all - I won't be going topless to the party afterall. I managed to get a beautiful gold satin blouse with little crystal buttons, short puff sleeves & a belt for £10 in new look. It looks fab especially now i've got a new bra that fits properly its huge (40A) but at least there now in the right place. Still no coat though, select had a nice black parka type coat reduced to £7.99 but they only had 8's, 10's & 12's so I guess fat people don't need winter coats cos the fat acts as insulation!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway another 1lb off this week. 16 altogether now i got 5 more to lose before xmas to reach my mini target.
thanks0 -
Ive just eaten a kit kat
argh.
and now ive eaten the kit kat its well and truely over ha.
Vixarooni, I completely understand why you feel like this but it's exactly that thought process that keeps us locked in the diet-binge cycle. It's just one Kitkat, the key now is to try not to let that turn into a pig out for the rest of the day thinking 'well, I've blown it now so I may as well be really bad' (I am speaking from experience ). Instead of beating yourself up, ask yourself WHY you ate the Kitkat - working out the reasons behind it may stop you reaching for it next time (unless you just really wanted it, in which case great, enjoy it!). Don't think I've got this sussed - I still slip up too - but since I've been working on this, it has been much better.
Okay, need to have a rant now ... So I finally got round to putting my Ikea drawers together this afternoon...and I've done it all wrong!:o:mad::o
It was going well right until the end when I couldn't get the drawers into the unit - turns out that one side of the runner is a fraction bigger on one side; like I knew that!! What is with these Ikea instructions with no words?! I'm mad now as I've tried to get them apart again to fix the problem and I am too weak to do it, so now have to wait for OH to come home and sort out my mess. I have never felt such a 'girl', so humiliated!Grrrrrr!! That's it - I know and accept that I have had to rely on OH for many, many things while I've been ill but I seem to have been transformed into some useless female sap; I'm off to look up the nearest car maintenance course! I will not be beaten
Thanks for your concern Petrichor, I appreciate it. I am being very sensible and building up my hours gradually, cutting back on other things to compensate for my school time and listening to my body. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Oh Bails, that kind of thing happens to us all! I do sympathise, it's so frustrating, but it's just one thing and it'll get put right. Please try not to beat yourself up over it
I assembled all my own lounge furniture and gym equipment, installed and wired satellite tv upstairs and down, did some fancy LED electrical work, fixed some plumbing and was starting to feel really handy until last week I was stumped putting together a SINGLE OFFICE CHAIR. Boy, did I feel stupid!!!
Well saying I was going to do nothing today, I've washed and replaced my sofa covers (Ikea - Bails' favourite!) and just spent some time making a spreadsheet for my BMR, daily calorie needs, reductions for dieting and exercise, calorie ready reckoner for all my usual meals, foods, etc.
According to this, I should be able to intake 1200-1500 cals per day with light to moderate exercise, and still lose weight. So let's see if the mathmatical approach works!0 -
Vixarooni I think I'm right in saying that we weigh in whatever day we choose but if you're on the challenge chart, it gets recorded every Wednesday.
I weigh on a Monday, that's just because I happened to start my weight loss journey on a Monday
Backwards stepping! What a great idea! I do backwards on my cross trainer and bike but didn't think to try that on my thigh trainer. Guess what I'm off to do now! See you later folks!0 -
Very quick one today, might get back later on though
Maintianed this week, which is a relief after the weekend
Well done to all the winners, maintainers and keeo on at it to the gainers this week.

maintained this week BB, but thats amazing because I've eaten loads, one Christmas party down, another 3 to go!
Sorry to hear about mrs Ajax, hope she's feeling a little better, and with all the running around Ajax, you'll lose even more weight!
Well done to everyone who's lost weight or maintained or is even pleased with a little gain (cos they know it should have been more!) anyhow, take care all xIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
ha. backwards is the way forward!
I ate the kit kat because me and my boyfriend are recently co habiting, its been a bit hard at times learning to live with another and weve had a few rows. Felt a bit low and asked him to make me a tea with a kit kat. Trouble is, my mother is now cooking hash browns, pigs in blankets ect. 2000 steps on the stepper? i think so!!
I went to boots and went on one of their jazzy machines. Here is my reading:
Weight: 10st 5lb
Height: 5'3.3!
BMI: 25.4 (only .4 overweight!)
Now this is the absolutly awful part:
Body fat: 34.8%!
They gave a scale of excellent, average, poor and i go off the scale! 33.6% is their highest fat percentage!! although my ideal weight is meant to be 7st 7lb - 10st 2lb.
Im actually not feeling that depressed. Carde diem eh!0 -
Has the Waist to Hip ratio been mentioned on here before?
Chart:
http://www.bmi-calculator.net/waist-to-hip-ratio-calculator/waist-to-hip-ratio-chart.php
Calculator:
http://www.bmi-calculator.net/waist-to-hip-ratio-calculator/
Apparently this is a better test of certain health risks than the BMI measurement.
Edit: 0.72 for me!
missyg I don't know how good an estimation of measurement this is..... My waist to hip ratio is always between 0.7 and 0.8 and I'm a big lass.
(we're talking 6 stone to lose).Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Dread to think what mine must be then Vixarooni!
Weighed myself this morning and I had lost 1lb!!!! Taking into consideration the weight I regained that makes it 3lb down in only about 4 months!
Never mind, NY resolutions on the horizon. Meanwhile I am still in the back ground here whilst hopping on and off the wagon almost daily!
Well done to all the losers and maintainers, chin up to all who aer not!
