Suggs, congratulations on your exam pass last week! (Meant to say that before, sorry). Glad you had a good weekend too, fingers crossed for this week. Did you ever get anywhere with your complaint I think you said you were making about the gym?
Victory, I've just gone through a glut of brand new things not working or not as they should be! It's so frustrating. It's getting to the stage where I am expecting problems with every purchase, last week when I bought some aerial/digital tv doobries, I was on a high just because the right things had been sent and they worked! On the subject of smaller plates, I sometimes put my Special K into a ramekin (sp?) instead of a normal bowl, and eat it with a teaspoon :rotfl:
Congrats to the losers & maintainers, sympathies or motivational kicks up the backside for anyone who needs themGood luck to anyone still to weigh in this week. I've deliberately not put names because I know I will miss someone if I do.
Petrichor, I have a confession to make, I didn't 'take the 4lb in my stride' midweek at all. I was absolutely horrified to see a month's worth of toil & sweat come undone in such a short time. I had visions of gaining at a rate of 8lb per weekI didn't post during the week on purpose, and you should all be very glad about that :rotfl: You're right about the 'error' of weighing in midweek but actually I'm glad I did on this occasion because I'll know not to panic if it happens again, and perhaps my experience will help someone else?
I am not a stationery fetishist. Does this make me an outcast on here?!
Emmalis, sorry about your problems getting a coat. On the bright side it must be time for winter coats to start getting marked down pricewise soon? Maybe you will be rewarded with a bargain!
I've got an unexpected free day today, yippee! :T And do you know what? I'm gonna WASTE it by doing as little as possible!!!!!0 -
Hi all - I won't be going topless to the party afterall. I managed to get a beautiful gold satin blouse with little crystal buttons, short puff sleeves & a belt for £10 in new look. It looks fab especially now i've got a new bra that fits properly its huge (40A) but at least there now in the right place. Still no coat though, select had a nice black parka type coat reduced to £7.99 but they only had 8's, 10's & 12's so I guess fat people don't need winter coats cos the fat acts as insulation!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway another 1lb off this week. 16 altogether now i got 5 more to lose before xmas to reach my mini target.Life is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

Went to get weighed and I have lost 4lb This week, crumbs, I know I have not eaten much this week what with the nausea, knee etc but crumbs, need to eat more0 -
Well done to everyone reporting in with losses this week, seems to be a good week for most of us (I don't include myself in that
).
Just back from work, enjoying it and getting more involved gradually. Hopefully will be doing a bit of supply there once my paperwork is sorted. The dilemma I'm having is how involved to get - after my time off, I am now really keen to find a school I like and settle there for a few years. I think this could be just that school but we may be moving to Manchester! I know that the good thing to do would be to focus on the present and get what I can from my current situation but it's hard not to plan ahead. All in good time, got to keep telling myself that.
Having relaxed with things for a few days I have managed to make myself ill by overdoing the wheat so I'm now trying to avoid it for a while. I'm at home this weekend so looking forward to spending lots of time with OH and keeping focused. Off now for a rest with the adorable Sol and Zacc (dont tell OH).
BB, don't worry about getting everything done by tomorrow, look after yourself - I personally am happy for SS to come in January; that way Christmas is extended (and we could also be v MSE and buy each other's presents in the sales :money:)
Grannynise, I'll be over in 5 (now I know you'll be so busy I can sneak into your stationery cupboard without you noticing)

Well done delly, efrize, Tiby, Skint-Catt, granny, victory and emmalis:j :j ... kpc re the gain, it is very hard at the moment for you, but at least you aren't giving up, good for you :j ...
...Bails You do seem to be awfully busy, don't try to do too much too soon, take care...
...I've just been reading over on the Site Feed Back board about the problems that have affected lots of people trying to get on here. I thought that the thread was quiet because most of you were busy with festive things, but apparently it seems that there were problems that were ISP/IP specific, that made it hard for some folk to log on. It was just frustratingly slow to load pages at times for me...
...I'm trying to think what to get for dinner, but despite having a stack of stuff to choose from, there isn't anything that will prepare and cook itself :rotfl: I'm just feeling a bit lazy today
...
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Has the Waist to Hip ratio been mentioned on here before?
Chart:
http://www.bmi-calculator.net/waist-to-hip-ratio-calculator/waist-to-hip-ratio-chart.php
Calculator:
http://www.bmi-calculator.net/waist-to-hip-ratio-calculator/
Apparently this is a better test of certain health risks than the BMI measurement.
Edit: 0.72 for me!0 -
just been catching up.
rofling at hill p@rn bails!
feeling more motivated to stay on the straight and narrow despite work's best efforts to make me eat. I think the one tonight has a fresh fruit platter dessert so i'll have that. There, I've said it on MSE so now i HAVE to do it!!0 -
Ive just eaten a kit kat
argh. Thanks for the welcomes, and hello!
Is today the weigh in day? i dont think theres much point me weighing myself cos i doubt its gone down in just 3 days, and now ive eaten the kit kat its well and truely over ha.
emmalis, good luck getting 40a bras! i work in lingerie, i dont think we have one of that size where i work. Anyone need a fitting come directly to me do not pass go ect ect
Missyg - the lateral thigh trainer was really tempting, but i just got a stepper from argos, i tend to mix it up a bit and do a good 1000 steps if i can whilst going on it backwards to do the back of my calf and then standing on it half foot on and off ect. Hopefully i'll see a difference in the tree trunks soon! As for the weights they are handheld ones that i just dance about with usually. Theyre not that heavy, but they turn into a tonne each by the end of my session! ha. I wanna get my boyfriends weights, his are huge. As they say the more muscle you have the more calories you burn doing nowt.
Well done to everyone who has lost weight!! I still need to do some exericise today.0 -
Hi all,
I am just catching a quick minute at the computer as we have just adopted a daft dog. As soon as he sees me start to type he runs off with cushions, shoes etc. I am typing quietly in the hope that he won't notice. I just want to report that I have at last lost that pound that was stuck and have now lost 1st. That's my first target reached! Well done all of you with your weight loss and maintains this week.
I have just bought some low carb pasta. Has anyone else tried it?
My DD has also lost her first stone (without trying) and we have only had the dog three weeks. I just wish I could walk as far as she can.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
