welcome vix:D
ajax glad to hear the op went well, make sure there is loads of rest for the lovely lady and it will soon be a forgotten memory:D
krazy don't know what to say, exercise plays a large part, as well as calorie control, reducing portion sizes, drinking plenty of water, switching from bad to good foods...0 -
Hi krazey, im 21 also, i know how it feels!
At lunch time im going to try and do an hour on my stepper, trouble is its so darn noisy! Hopefully the parents will go out and i'll jump on it. Tomorrow instead of getting the bus, im going to drive half way ish to work, park in the industrial estate for free and then walk the rest. Cutting cost and calories i hope! I knoe exercise is my biggest down point. Its hard, cos i gotta write an assignment for thursday, so from now untill then my butt will be solidly stuck on this chair all day.
Thanks for all your advice, i actually feel quite good at the mo!0 -
[quote=petrichor;7026597]Hi Peeps
I thought I'd had a carp weekend (busy busy busy but ending up with nothing to show for it)
Didn't that make Alphonse jealous?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
krayzechick don't let the age get you down! I'm only 21... And I'm sure everyone else is jealous of all us lovely young people!
Besides, weight loss is meant to be a lot easier when you're younger, so stick at it!
Vixarooni, I *was* trying to diet when I was living with my parents - it's a real pain isn't it? I ended up compromising by eating with everyone else in the evening (smaller portion tho - might take a while to convince mum that "no, really, I'm full!", but it's worth a try!), and arrange your own lunch - buy fruit/salad/healthier snacks for during the day at work. It won't make a huge difference but it all helps!! - btw, if you fancy writing my assignment while you're at it.....
Sorry to hear it seems to have been a bit of a rough weekend all roundJust remember, new day, new week, it can only get better!! x

I've just been given a huge incentive by my darling OH! I've never been to the States and recently have been badgering him to visit New York and Las Vegas. He's already been and being ill in NY put him off big style - HOWEVER - he's said if I lose another 62lbs to reach (just above) my target he will take me!!!!! :j :j :j :j :j.
I'm hoping that exclu Xmas I should do that by early summer next year! :j :j :j If I go all out I'd like to do it by mid may and combine it with my OH's birthday! :j :j0 -

Hello there everyone
I haven't posted for a week but I've now caught up with reading. Hope you're all well, I was sorry to read the recent posts with bad news, esp Delly, and like BB said it makes you count your blessings and hold your nearest and dearest close.
As a week is a long time to think back in forum-world, to recap I was on a challenge to try to ease up on myself, having got into a bit of a horrible spiral of eating too little, exercising too hard, and having my weight loss grind to almost a halt.
Well I am pleased to say I stuck it out, increased cals by maybe 10% and eased up a lot on the exercise (fewer, easier workouts). Midweek was awful, I had gained 4lb which had taken me over a month of massive effort to get off! However on weigh in today I have an overall loss of ¼lb. I know this is nothing and I might as well have stayed the same, but psychologically that ¼lb is very important to me! I now know I can ease up a bit and still lose, so I'll continue the same way, and hope I'm sending the right signals to my body now so that I can shift these last stubborn 4lb!
Thank you for your support and everyone who offered me good advice, I probably haven't quite reached a sensible level yet but I do feel I've turned the corner.
Good luck to everyone still to weigh this week, I hope you're all as happy with your losses as I am with mine!0
