lol! Well, I've got a younger sister who'd definately agree with you, but would be horrified if I dared to use the words "healthy" or "low-fat/cal" when talking about her dinner! She's a skinny little thing... Damn teenagers!**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0

OH.... MY... GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will someone do me a favour and take my wife off me please? She could ruin anything!!
No, I really shouldn't be so flippant, it's bad news. The five course meal was extremely well-received. The dining table dragged out of the corner, candles on the table, the courses were timed to near perfection and the first bottle of wine flowed freely. We were just about to put an episode of Phoenix Nights on for the 8.30 black hole that is Friday night television until Have I Got News For You? comes on, and she announces that she's just gonna pop Bailey out for his last walk. I applauded the idea and made clear that I'd have the bottle of Moet ready upon her arrival. Perfect!!
Two minutes later, the phone rang and a familiar voice said "I think I've broken my leg". When I arrived at the scene Bailey was walking around happily, taking no notice whatsoever of my wife sitting - shoe and sock off - in a pile of mud, it was pretty obvious that she was right.
After six hours in A&E she was kept in overnight and faces an operation today (barring a cancellation) to put a pin and plate just above her right ankle. She'll be on crutches for a minimum of six weeks. Hopefully, she'll be let out of hospital tomorrow (her birthday). Even the operation can't guarantee against possible complications later, such as arthritis etc, and she's been warned that the physio is going to be very hard work

Can I join December challenge? Know I joined last month but never posted. Been under the weather, but at least this meant I lost 2 pounds and now down too 12 st 10 lbs:j
Have been better at not pigging out on Xmas day and next few over the past couple of years but still tend to in the stressful days leading up to the event. So will help to focus on December as a whole especially while my appitite recovers!!

Oh Ajax!! I am so sorry. Poor Mrs A. You couldn't make it up. I just hope the op has gone smoothly and the potential complications don't materialize.
Hugs all round me thinks. Keep us posted.

Morning all:D off to xmas shopping in the rain, knee should be able to hold, at least the temperature I have got will keep me warm:D
Off on a hunt for a nintendo ds lite, oh don't just love it at xmas when there are none in stock from shop to shop:rotfl:
Food wise barely eating as feel sick with knee so that is a bonus(more leeway for xmas then:D )
We are now having avocado prawn salad for xmas day starter from the mag, looks lovely, the kids will have crabsticks and prawns they like that.
Thinking of buying the turkey in the bag, ready roasted/stuffed/basted, apparently you just put it in the oven and voila:D anyone had that one? Quite expensive at £32 but saves all the hassle0 -
Oh dear at the moment the diet is going to pot!
Tea at the Savoy on Thursday was lush and I managed to eat quite sensibly, Friday was a nightmare with a leaving do and poor weather by the time I got home I was in no mood to cook so ended up with a ding dinner which wasn't a healthy eating one as we hadn't been shopping.
We saw OH's kids yesterday so the usual round of sweets from which I did by best to abstain but his 90 yr old Nan had a fall just before coming with us and having to sort her out meant we had to have a takeaway. Have been food shopping today but in the middle of it reeived a callto say Nan actually has a brain tumour so we have to go see her 100 miles away which means the carefully planned menus have gone to pot and ready meals and takeaways will rule for the next few days.
Ajax - hope mrs A is on the mend , victory hope you are too and hope the shopping went well.Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0
