did you have to send the original bill, or will a photocopy do? in all my old dealings with cpw and the pre-selling-soul-to-the-devil e2save (my last claim with them was march 2007) i always sent a copy and a polite letter with no problems, but i expect things have changed somewhat by now...
and bill number 4 is simply the fourth bill you received, right? rather than the fourth full month or any of those other old cpw tricks :P
oh, and according to the virgin mobile website, this tariff doesn't exist (closest is £15/month for 200mins/200texts). how does that work exactly?0 -
I bought mine from CPW (not e2save or OSPS), so a copy of the bill would do.
Send in the 4th physical bill, for me that was received approx 95 days from connection.
No need to calculate 120 days from connection or whatever, I sent it as soon as I got it. In fact, the cheque was received before I had connected for 120 days!
I had previous cashback contracts with CPW, OSPS, The Link, Dialaphone, Chatterbox, Mobilesmadeeasy.
CPW and The Link are most efficient.0 -
well, i've just taken the plunge and ordered from CPW. was a little concerned that the direct debit was being arranged with CPW. do they take the money rather than virgin? and (God help me) will i need to talk with CPW to resolve contract problems rather than virgin? and, stupidly, i clicked away from the transaction code before i had a chance to write it down. so that doesn't bode well.
no immediate email from them either, like CPW normally do.
its been a while since i started a cashback deal, and i'm nervous already...0 -
i needn't have worried about cashback, as CPW rejected my order since i've had more than 2 handsets this quarter. seeing as
a) i haven't ordered anything from them since 2005 (so presumably 'quarter' means 'quarter of a century' in CPW terms)
b) in 2005 i only ordered one phone
c) this order isn't even for a handset
i think i can safely say their record keeping is a little bit off... has anyone else experienced such wisdom from the folks at CPW?0 -
ok, so, managed to get the order sorted and it arrived today. i rang up to confirm the cashback details and was told that it was the fourth bill, which she proceeded to count "february, march, april, MAY". i'm guessing i'll get a bill in a few days time which will be the first bill, so surely the fourth straight bill would be april? or have i got that wrong? will i get my first bill in february? i'm a bit confused.
at least there's no penalties for multiple applications on this offer, so if it comes to it i can just send them both off...0 -
sounds like a good deal. how much is it tracking at?0
-
just to warn people that I emailed CPW after taking out this deal.
They have clearly indicated to me that I should send them the the bill I receive in the fourth month after connection, which is actually the fifth bill I will receive.
It appears that they are up their old tricks again0 -

that tallies with what they told me on the phone (they disregard bills for part months, or some such nonsense), but contradicts the earlier post by happyhunter. but as they don't seem to have a problem with multiple claims, i'll probably just do my old trick of sending them both off0 -
I took up this CPW cashback deal in December.
I printed out ALL the relevant documents from their website at the time of ordering.
The "Terms & Conditions" very clearly state (in two different places) that "in order to get the reduced line rental, you need to send back your 4th airtime bill and we will send you a cheque for it"
I think this is very very clear - its the fourth bill that you receive, not the bill 'after 4 months etc etc', as per the dodgy e2save deals.0 -
i fancy this sim deal, only 1 bill to send in number 4.
q. does it end after 6 months or is it easy to cancel?0
