Aunt has now been diagnosed with the same cancer as my mum , along with my uncle thats 3 of them so thats concerning and also has prompted me to look in to genetic testing.
Need to pop to tesco for an onion and a birthday card - what a mix
Am trying to lift this cloud thats over my head , NM called me earlier to check on me and said he is worried because I am quiet. I am quiet , I dont know how to put my moods in to words.
He thinks alot is down to me being in the office , I think alot is down to feeling so overwhelmed with absolutely everything0 -
still fed up although the HRT gel is helping somewhat. I know I need a holiday , its not long now and its so needed.
A nice long weekend , will try not to do much other then organise things , NM has mentioned dinner but I think a nice pub lunch or dining al fresco would be nice.
His calender is so busy with extra work , I love his work ethic but quiet weekends are a bit of a rarity so I really dont want to do much..
Last day in the office , I bought lunch in twice but still spent £15 over the course of the week on sandwiches etc , must get more organised.
Being at home is definately safer for me and better for my well being.
Considering walking down the charity shop in my lunch , got a bee in my bonnet about going but its a good 15 minute walk and ive had a lot of left sided stomach pain , if i move the car I'll most likely loose my parking space0 -
@efes_shareholder a holiday sounds just the job! You have been through an enormous amount recently. Without wanting to dismiss your health worries, I've heard it said that heredity may load the gun, but environment pulls the trigger. Would you feel better if you had a list of factors you can influence maybe? Keep going, you're fab love Humdinger xx0

My aunt is now confirmed with pancreatic cancer , with hindsight she had the often missed flags , upset tummy , back ache but didn’t make a fuss , it’s looking far worse then it was at mums diagnosis as it known to have spread to other regions.
She is the eldest of the family ( we never get to our 80’s in our bloodline ) , we are of that generation that we will lose our elders but to have a third case of the same cancer has hit us all hard.
I spoke to my cousin ( aunts daughter ) and she is taking aunt to her house to care for her but as a unit we are all concerned about the genetic factor as it seems awful luck if nothing else.
she gave me the job of informing family , I spoke to uncles daughter and the first thing she asked me was is it genetic ?She said she had those thoughts since mum.
as a unit we will look in to testing , we have all made choices that reduce risks but it is a concern
in other news , house viewings are slow but 2nd viewer is back on Tuesday
house purchase is equally slow
Nm and I spoke about his friend’s treatment of me , I didn’t mince my words or hold back , I don’t like them , I question their motives and although I fully trust him and he has no control of their behaviour I won’t tolerate it so if I know they are at an event I will stay away. I can’t trust myself to react in the manner I would like too !!0 -
I’m so sorry to read about your aunt. What terrible luck. The trouble with small signs is that we are conditioned to soldier on and not make a fuss, especially women I think. Extra points for you not tolerating the friends behaviour, I’m proud of you! Thank you , its worrying about my aunt and the awful bad luck but hey ho , another challenge , lets see what we can do , myself and my cousins would all like testing so shall look in to it.
I imangine it will be a slow process.
weekend was quite low spends , treat myself to 2 things off my favourite stall @ the market for £20 , in the sale for a tenner each so thats ok.
Bought a super king size quilt in anticipation of the new size bed when I eventually move !!!! £15 so again happy with that.
sainsburys shop arrived early today £51 spend with a £15 voucher for first shop , will only do top up shops now until we go away.
2nd house viewer cancelled appt today and is viewing tomorrow instead , she isnt very reliable so dont know how i will feel should she actually offer !!
waiting on news on my purchase , i wont take any money out of bonds until september draw as I'd like to leave it in as long as possible.
Finally , had a letter from work £70 a month pay rise , bit disapointed not to get an annual bonus but can't really complain , there are many far worse then me and my employment is relatively secure.0 -
so tonights 2nd viewer cancelled , the agent rebooked for tomorrow and realised he couldnt do the viewing so I have agreed to go to the house and do it myself.
I just want the women through the door !! and I need to be at my friends about 3 miles away about half an hour later so its not a huge issue
we have a cash buyer interested but with a budget smaller then we would accept and we have a couple interested who have to sell their part rent part buy.
Havent done any viewings for a long long time , I shall just let them show themselves around and invite them to ask me any questions about the house / neighbourhood and surrounding area.
wish me luck0 -
Good luck @efes_shareholder! Looking forward to hearing how it goes love Humdinger xx0

payday today , sent a lump over to clear my big card bill , well not entirely but the accumulation from last month which includes the shark hoover and the deposit on the sofa and obviously no balances to accrue any interest - the holiday balance and the flights to my dads are due at the end of September.
I have £260 on very BNPL , this is a couple of pairs of jeans ( i only like the RI molly range on me ) and a few bits and pieces from their sale and the ninja , sent a £40 payment to this. I have the money to pay it but I do find using the BNPL means I manage my money better or basically I still buy the same thing but I don't see the big outlay go.
Maybe I should be replacing this with "pots"
Its my only debt and it has until next April to clear but I fully intend to have it sorted quicker.
I've put £350 in to my savings pot , fingers crossed that this month brings a big PB win and it will be my last month at full capacity. I guess the new goal is to refil the bonds pot once the house money has been transferred
A bit nervous about hosting the viewing , the lady is bringing her brother. We have another on booked in on saturday and thats it.
If neither bite then the plan is to change the listing to offers in excess off , houses are moving albiet at a slower pace and this may get more traffic through the door. I've told the agent the bottom offer we will take and he said that its a bargain at that price , with the market slowing slightly and the fact it needs some good old graft I think it needs to be

so the viewing went ok I think , she bought her brother who was very thorough , he asked about the loft space so i grabbed the ladders and let him take a look , asked the boiler age and a few other questions , it really comes down to if the house fits and they can afford to do the upgrades .................another viewing saturday and if no joy then another price drop to get it moving.
There is a couple that want it but they havent sold their own yet.
Popped to a friends for a small get together afterwards , was nice but one of our circle of friends really irritates me and she was there - we will never be friends , she fills silence with twaddle.
