CCL, I definitely could have written all the stuff about school. I do not know what is going on but this week. ****** girls, messed up boys. Utter mare. Similarly workmates are having the same issues.
Am too tired to say anything else! Have a good weekend, hope there is news from the ********
XXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Another week managed CCL and a third of the month over.
Other people's kids eh?
I was looking after someone else's for a whole 90 minutes this week.
If he was mine he might well have been drownded by now, or at least a lot better behaved.
Always nice when it is not your kid who is the worst behaved, I have a renewed love of my kids, who really do my head in, but are not that bad in the whole scale of things.
Definitely noticed the kids being a bit niggly and getting very excited over the whole 'C -word' already.
Hope you catch up on your sleep, and any news you get is good.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Hello :hello:
Another week over and survived, although I am starting to wonder how. There is no news at all from the ex. I've spent a lot of time talking it over with bestie this afternoon and come to accept that he's not going to do anything unless I force him to. The hopes I'd had for an amicable divorce are fading fast and I'm thinking I just need to toughen up a bit now - play him at his own game a bit... DS said to me today that he doesn't want to go to football next week with his dad, so when that hits the fan later in the week it may (or may not) start things moving again.
Anyway. Work is over for a while, and I've even done all of the extra work I had to bring home this weekend - took me just over 2 hours earlier this evening and I can enjoy a day off tomorrow without worrying about getting work done for Monday. It was another busy day at work yesterday, and I'm pleased to have survived it all. Left work straight for ds swimming lesson, then went grocery shopping at Mr S. Just the one shop as we were both shattered and keen to get home. My health thanks me, but my bank account doesn't - it was £75 and that was pretty much just the basics. Life is just expensive these days, and that sets me stressing out even more about the divorce and financial settlement. I hate that my ex is still managing to maintain control.
Got up early this morning to take a couple of loads of washing to bestie's house on my way to tutoring (hopefully Tuesday for washing machine repair), then went tutoring and back to hers for a couple of hours for a very long overdue catch up. She's had a bit of a stressy week as well so it was nice just to relax a bit.
Tomorrow is looking a bit busy too - I have to clear a couple of cupboards so that the washing machine can be properly accessed, and I am also going to see my mam for a couple of hours in the afternoon. I have a very long list of little and annoying jobs that I will feel much better once I have ticked them all offNot giving up

So. That list I said I had with all the little jobs now has everything crossed off it, with time to spare. That has left me feeling as though there is something that I've forgotten to do. It's so rare that I have time with nothing looming in the background.
Went to visit my mam this afternoon, which was lovely. Great company and good food. Even remembered to take her a key to my house. She's going to sit in on Tuesday for me when the washing machine repair people come - fingers are firmly crossed that it will be working by the time I get home Tuesday night. She's also offered to help out with the kids in January if I get the ok to go to London for exam marking (I've been offered 2 contracts but I need to get the ok for time off from the Head). I do love my exam marking, but 4 days off in January may be too much to ask for. I've emailed him to ask so we'll see what comes back.
As I say, I've done all the little jobs. Cat food sorted out, washing up, recycling, clean washing away, wool into the loft, kids money for next week, meal planning. All I still need to do is to make sure the three of us are clean and showered ready for the start of the working week, and I'll need an early night. I've had a sinus headache niggling all day which is starting to get the better of me, plus I think I'm a bit dehydrated so I will make sure I have a couple of cups of tea as well.
Now, the question is can I relax enough for Doctor Who and the dancing? Not giving up

Been meaning to ask for ages
What do you crochet?
I keep getting p1nterest things on crochet snowflakes and decorations and I have this image of you with your feet up on a crocheted cushion, under a crocheted blanket, wearing crocheted wrist warmers and crocheted legwarmers under a crocheted snowflake wall hanging, crocheting a ____________ .
So what is the current project? Just so the picture in my mind is complete4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

At the moment f0xh0les I have a couple of projects on the go. Mainly I like to crochet blankets, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I have 5 in the living room, one on each bed and a couple of cat blankets as well. However, at the minute I only have 1 blanket on the go - it's a Ubuntu crochet along project which I think I'll keep for myself when it's finished. I am also crocheting a couple of small toys/decorations as gifts for people - Star Wars characters at the moment (I can do a Yoda, R2D2 and Leia and am working on a BB8 - not that I have any clue what any of them are as I've never seen the film). At the weekend I got a crochet advent calendar, which will be one decoration a day running up to Christmas. I also have a loft absolutely choc a block full of wool, so thank goodness it's a hobby I really enjoy. I can knit as well but I haven't done any for ages because it seems to take longer than crochet.
Mind you, I haven't had time to do any crochet tonight. It's been one of those non-stop days and I'm barely managing to keep up with myself. Work was manic for the first 5 hours I was there and busy for the rest. I brought tests home with me to mark, which took another 3 hours, so approximately a 13 hour work day today.
On top of that, my cleaner didn't manage to get here today and I'm stressed about the state of the house now as well. So I did the bare minimum of tidying in preparation for my mam and washing machine repair happening tomorrow. I really hope that it's fixed with the minimum of fuss because I really need to do a very large amount of washing now...
Also had to empty the tins cupboard in preparation for access to the plug for the washing machine so I figured I would inventory the tins I have and prepare to use them up. The kids have a scarily large number of tins of ravioli to work their way through, and I have a scarily large number of tins of peaches. I have no idea why, or what I can do with them - I got them in to have with yoghurt for breakfast but there's only so much fruit and yoghurt anyone can eat. Any suggestions gratefully received.
Also finally got the nerve up to text ex. DS has decided that he doesn't want to see him this weekend (I think after his negative experience there last time), and asked me to tell his dad. So I had to be the adult and let him know. I also decided, as I was contacting him, to tell him that if there was no progress on the finances by the end of the month then I would instruct my solicitor to start court proceedings. I haven't said this to him, but I'm really angry that he's still mucking me about and managing to control things by doing nothing, and any hope I had of us remaining civil/amicable is rapidly disappearing. I know he's ill again, but that is not my concern. Looking after my kids and paying my bills is my concern so I need to keep that moving as best as I can. It's so stressful, but hopefully in the next few months it will finally be over for good.
Anyway, for such a busy day at work there has been lots of other stuff going on as well. I'm shattered so going to get myself off to bed now.Not giving up

Really hoping that things start to move with your ex really soon.
Hope the washing machine is an easy fix.
