There is never a good time for your washer to break when you have kids.
I promise your white goods are not ganging up on you.
It just feels like it.:rotfl:

Well think of it this way, once fixed it'll probably work perfectly for years!!
How have you been sleeping of late? Any better?0 -
Evening everyone :hello: :coffee:
I confess to feeling pretty rubbish today. No reason - nothing else has gone wrong thank goodness but it's just all a bit much. I am sleeping ok Speky - bedtime routine is that I'm in bed by 10 at the latest and going to sleep by half past. I wake up during the night between 3 and half four without fail and I'm usually awake for between about half an hour and 90 minutes, and then I doze back over until my alarm at 6.30. It's not ideal being up during the night but I'm not sleeping terribly - however I do feel as though my brain never stops and that makes me feel tired. I'm in quite a negative place with myself at the moment as well - that voice is constantly telling me that I'm going to fail, should have done things differently, everything will go wrong etc and it's very hard work dealing with that.
Work is strange - there's nothing wrong there but I'm not enjoying it at the moment. I'm focusing on the negatives there rather than the positives and feeling as though I'm not doing a good job... I have lots I need to do and not a lot of motivation for getting anything done. I spent a large chunk of my free this afternoon talking to a couple of my work friends, just getting stuff off my chest and trying to feel a bit better. Not productive in the work sense but good for my mental health. Hopefully, with a decent sleep I will feel more like getting stuff done tomorrow.
Came home quite early and straight into my pyjamas - I should have exercised tonight but can't be bothered. I was thrilled to get home and find a small gift from a friend on here - which really made my day. A lovely pair of socks, which I've put straight on, and they are very comforting. I also brought a list of work home but I haven't done any of that either. Ah well...
Looking in the kitchen and just wondering which of my white goods will give up next. Cooker is looking decidedly dodgy to me...

I could give you a run for your money with dodgy cookers, CCL. Ours has been threatening to give up all year & we reckon it's saving itself for when we put the turkey in next month!2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

Well the cooker has survived another day today - and I actually made dinner on it tonight :rotfl: I've been using Jack Monroe's books as frugal inspiration and tonight I made sausage and lentil casserole which has fed me with enough leftovers for 3 more portions. More money saving as far as I can and trying to keep faith with the small things because I have zero control over the big stuff that's going on at the moment.
Work is still tough and I had a pig of a day today. The attitude of some of the kids in that place needs some serious work, and I can't bear b I t c h y girls. I had to give 2 detentions out today unfortunately - but I can only put up with so much back chat and attitude from teenage girls. It is reassuring that other staff are having similar problems but tough to think that there are still another 6 weeks until Christmas. Not giving up

Thanks MeandO - today was better than yesterday for sure, but it really just is a case of surviving at the moment. My motivation is lacking and I feel tired - tends to happen more as the mornings and evenings get darker. Still a bit of a way to go though.
Nothing really to report. Sleep. Work. Home. Still no money, still not enough hours in the day. I was very grateful to come home to leftovers so I could have a decent meal with a minimal amount of effort.
I'll be back tomorrow or Saturday - hopefully with something to report. Not giving up
