I've switched online and turned on blue rewards in May. Two direct debts payed out in May also.
I've just been debited the £3 charge and received £7 reward. Is it possible that this is for just one of the direct debits and I've just missed out on the other until July or have they failed to double the reward I wonder?

For some ridiculous reason the double reward is often paid in two parts at different times of the month. Everything *should* be working as intended but you may have to give it until the end of June to know for sure.

Reason is so that Barclays System differentiates between the reward element that is ongoing/not time limited and the reward element that only lasts for 12 Months.

I was told in branch that the extra reward payment will be paid in the middle of the month.

But then again the branch staff (and his manager) were convinced I wouldn't get it as an existing customer with Blue Rewards, until I showed them the email and pointed out the terms to them.

    Hi,

The offer ends on 29th June. I have Bookes appointment to switch for 29th June. Will I be on time for the switch to complete?

Also what ID people have taken to the branch? They told me to bring passport and proof of address when I am an existing customer.

    Thanks

Preferably just go in-branch and request the switch straightaway, as the switch may take a couple of weeks.

I took in my Barclays debit card to confirm my identity, along with a note of the sort code and account number for the account to be switched. I was in the branch for about 20 mins, 5 mins wait then 15 mins with the agent completing the switch request online.

    Thanks for replying back..

I'm off from work this Thursday so will visit the branch and see if they have availability without booking an appointment.

According to this it takes 7 days. I guess weekends are included in which if switch starts on 20th it should be completed nu the 28th at lease.

The requirement for double rewards is that the switch must have started by then.

"Switches that have started on or before the 29 June within the Offer Period will be eligible for double rewards."

Has anyone figured out how you actually start the switch online (for existing customers- competed in branch)?

Existing customers can't start the switch online.

Take a copy of the terms with you as branch staff sometimes are not the best versed on everything. To be fair to them things change all the time so it must be hard to keep up all the time.
  • New account opened during May, fulfilled Blue Rewards basic criteria bar didn't pay fee in May, now see fee taken in June and only 7.00 credited to blue rewards wallet

    Same, calling them now.

EDIT: This is normal apparently. The Blue Rewards will go in at the normal rate at the beginning of the month then be doubled later on in the month.

Anyone had their doubled reward yet?
