MSE News: Barclays offers switchers double rewards for a year

Whether or not you can argue that point 1 semantically allows it, I don't think you can do the same with point 7.
But then point 7 is also semantically wrong as it says you need to switch AND sign up for Blue Rewsrds during the offer period. If you already have Blue Rewards, you don't need to sign up, which suggests that is meant to read 'and/or'.
7. Rewards will only be doubled for 12 months if: (a) you switch and sign up for Barclays Blue Rewards during the Offer Period; and (b) the £3 monthly fee for Blue Rewards is paid for the 12-month period.0 -

Yes, I agree - I also saw and mentioned that previously - however I don't think point 7 technically excluding more people from the offer than intended helps your argument on point 1.
Point 1 is very sloppily set out. Why does part (c) not mention 'complete a full switch' while part (b) does? E.g. if you are an existing current account customer without Blue Rewards, part (c) as a single sentence suggests you only need sign up to qualify for double rewards, but its inclusion within the point 1 set up complicates it, despite not being linked to parts (a) and (b) which go with the top line.
Point 1 should read:
1. Receive double reward(s) for 12 months if you use the Current Account Switch Service (CASS), between 3 April and 29 June 2018 (the "Offer Period") to either:
(a) New customers: Request a full switch to an eligible Barclays current account and sign up to Barclays Blue Rewards; or
(b) For existing Barclays current account customers
(i) with Barclays Blue Rewards, request a full switch and turn your current account into your primary account; or
(ii) without Barclays Blue Rewards, request a full switch and sign up to Barclays Blue Rewards, and turn your current account into your primary account.0 -

Intend switching my Coop account where there are 4 direct debits, which are actually £1 every week to my Post Office Saver.
Does anyone know if this is enough to qualify for Blue Rewards or will they just see this as one direct debit(albeit paid out 4 times every month).
Coop are paying everyday rewards on this basis so don’t want to move it and find that Barclays take a different view!
Thanks in advance0 -

Yes, this will work for Barclays blue rewards.
You could, though, change the direct debit to once every two weeks or (safer) do two separate manual payments into your Post Office Saver at the beginning of the month, maybe at the same time as you do the £800 transfer into (and out of) the Barclays account. Keep a low balance in the Barclays account (say £5 or £10) to meet the DD transfers.0 -
My experience so far has been smooth. Had to go into the branch with ID, there was no selling at all. The assistant did ask me to give all of my financial information, apparently so the could tailor offers to me, I politely declined and she was fine with it.
The switch service was excellent, took 7 days and all payments/Direct Debits have transferred over.
They have taken the £3 fee, I'm now just waiting in hope that my DDs will be taken without a hitch and I will receive the £14 reward. I've switched online and turned on blue rewards in May. Two direct debts payed out in May also.
I've just been debited the £3 charge and received £7 reward. Is it possible that this is for just one of the direct debits and I've just missed out on the other until July or have they failed to double the reward I wonder?0 -

Thank you for your message.
I understand that you would like to check the for the Double Blue Rewards you should received in your account as only £ 7. Please be advised
that the rewards will be paid in 2 separate payments. The first will be the automated single reward payment on the 2nd working day of the month
and there will then be another payment later in June for the extra reward.0
