I'm wondering the same thing! Plus, I don't know if you must bring with you two direct debits? Or can you add them after you make the switch?

I've read their website, it's unclear.

It doesn't say anything in the double rewards terms at the bottom about having to switch direct debits.

I checked there, I agree, it doesn't say specifically that you must switch DDs when you switch but MSE write up says 'Have at least two direct debits going out of your account.' https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/banking/2018/05/barclays-offers-switchers-double-rewards-for-a-year I just wasn't 100% sure. Also unsure how they can tell if you're switching your everyday banking account or not? I have an account I'd like to use to switch, but it's not my everyday account.

The barclay's website says: 'We’ll give you £3.50 for each of your first two Direct Debits every month.

Switch your everyday banking to us using the CASS by 29 June 2018, and you’ll get double cash rewards – that’s up to £14 a month in Direct Debit rewards for a whole year. T&Cs apply.' :wall:

So you need to pay out at least 1 direct debit to get a current account reward. But this direct debit doesn't have to have been switched over. It can be set up later.

And as for the everyday account - the answer is they can't tell as there is no definition of 'everyday account'.

Ed-1: I can see why you're the expert here! Thanks very much for clarifying. I find it difficult to wade through it all. I'm currently looking a few options, but it's all muddled in my head now! :embarasse

    Still, thanks again!
  • Anyone had their doubled reward yet?

Just checked and my reward wallet has had a "Loyalty Reward May Switch Double" payment made today. Hopefully others expecting similar will see theirs too/soon.

Had £7 extra - they haven’t doubled my Barclaycard reward. Hopefully this will go through in next few days

Yep mine too - looks like I spoke too soon after my earlier post yesterday!
  • Anyone received rewards by doing a partial switch rather than a full switch closing the other account ?

Terms say must be Full, but you never know ?
