Had my booster this morning and then a bit of shopping up town.
DH and I had some pasta for lunch then settled down to watch The Holiday. I never get tired of it, watched Love Actually last night. An old colleague shared a Christmas film advent calendar with me so we are giving it a go this year. We are a little behind but I’m hoping for a double bill tomorrow. Home Alone is not on Netflix or Prime so may check freeview and fit it in on another day.
Work have decided to close offices early this year so I’ll be working from home in the week before Christmas. Such a change from my old job where you couldn’t take holiday in December and you would be working up to Christmas Eve and New Year’s eve and lucky to get off a couple of hours early. Really feeling the Christmas spirit this year!

Weather 💨 ☔️ is a bit pants this week so glad to be working from home today.
Put away some clothes and got a wash in the machine, a quick clean of WC and kitchen surfaces. Straightening out the sofa throws and cushions have made it look instantly better without doing much.
Finances still stable and work is ticking along nicely ☺️, just waiting for December pay before I clear the remaining debt. I’m so close now and have longed for this day for 4 years. Top priority after that will be a 3-6 month emergency fund and holiday (2023 & 2024) savings.
With talk in the news of work from home government guidance, I’m glad my workplace preempted this and I have one more week in the office then we are all working from home until Xmas break. There does seem to be more positive cases and my local mobile testing unit had a queue around the block yesterday at 11am! I have ordered more LFD tests for home and test at least twice weekly before going into the office.🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉

Well no surprises there with the new guidelines.Apart from more working from home I don’t really have to change my behaviour.I’ve continued to wear a mask in indoor settings and public transport. All presents bought and wrapped and I test twice a week.
Some time ago I started following the prepping threads on Old style boards. So glad I did, having some extra bits in has saved on going out for top up shops, when shelves have been empty I haven’t panicked because I have UHT milk, part baked baguettes and plenty of tins from which I can rustle up a meal.
In happier news on of my deliveries has turned up after going awol last week.🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉

Feel like the day is dragging a lot, on the mse front I got a paper with £10 off a £40 shop in Lidl. Having leftovers for dinner so minimal cooking for me, DH is not strong on the kitchen. Couple of things to wrap and then I will settle down to watch a Christmas 🎄 film.🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉

Happy Friday!
Glad today is finished work has a lot of absences, mainly COVID and a few broken bones. It did mean a wait outside work as we couldn’t get into the building and no one had keys. Turned out someone was in all the time but didn’t hear the buzzers. It had to have happened on an icy cold, windy day. It still is not as bad as the last place I left!Left work a bit late and decided to get a chippy tea on way home. Fully fed now with a beer relaxing.
Xmas cards to post tomorrow and a bit of shopping is needed too.🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉
