I'm glad that your test was negative. There are some nasty cold viruses doing the rounds just now so look after yourself, keep warm and keep your fluids up. Hope you feel better soon.1

Dorisd said:@prowla I do think people confuse frugality and miserliness. I like to think of being frugal as making the most of my money, getting the best value and considering purchases before buying. I don’t use shopping as a day out activity anymore. I have also learned the difference between wants and needs and know I can get buy without the last eat this or that.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Feeling much better today, DD finishes her isolation today and DH and I have tested negative everyday since last Sunday.
GP sent DH a text saying he could book his booster, so I persuaded him to see if he could get an earlier appointment nearer to home. He did get one just around the corner, so he cancelled the other one and will get his booster next week.
Tomorrow will be busy at work but we’ll have an extra pair of hands to help.I think I’ll head into bed now to watch a bit of TV and relax.🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉

So far so good, work still
busy but we have some extra help. DD is up and about recovered from Covid. The rest of the family are still well and looking forward to Xmas, just hope Bojo doesn’t change things last minute so many have their hopes on a semi normal time.On the MSE front I think I should do another SOA. I don’t think in ever posted my last one, it will be a job for this afternoon and I will rope in DH so we can plan for next year. He has a classic car that has been stood for some time and I know he would love to get it back on the road but also do a proper job and not just bodge it or make do.
I should get ready to go to living room to work! 🤣🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉

Always interesting to see people's SOA. You have come so far over your debt free journey. Will be great once the debt has gone...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I don’t think I could have done it without the forum. I was so inspired by others diaries and picked up so many tips. I am not the best at posting but I read others diaries regularly and that helped get me through the bad days, the hopeless days even when I thought I was impossible.I tried to pay the MBN@ card today but it wouldn’t let me 😞. Also had problems seeing the pay off early balance of the loan.Just going to finish work for the day and only one more day until I’m off for the holidays. Going to pop to the shops for the first time since last week and get dinner going.🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉

Yeah - I know I wouldn't have managed without the forum. I have to immerse myself in £ management to be able to do it - and this forum helps with that - but also suggests ways of saving £ / bargains too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I’ve finished work until the new year, it was very quiet today so used the time to get some things done around the house.DH has one day to go and then we’ll both be off, can’t wait to put my feet up but I’m already thinking about giving the hallway a refresh and have a nice mirror to put up.
Time to watch another Xmas movie 🎥 🎄🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022🎉
