Work yesterday was a lot better. I’m starting to feel under the weather. May just be stressed and tired with DD and all the cleaning, will continue to test every day.
There are no Tesco slots left, luckily I had been prepping. It is worrying though, may see if my mum has a slot booked and add to hers. Failing that we need to check other supermarkets I won’t hold my breath, feels like first lockdown all over again.
DH tried for 2 days to book his booster got as far as local pharmacy on Xmas eve, just it to crash. Tried again and has to go further away, next available date 8 January!
Should be starting work soon, must get a move on.

Hope it's not covid. Perhaps get PCR test to be sure. LF doesn't always show it

Glad work is finished so I can rest, still feeling 🤢 so went for a PCR test this morning. I think it’ll be a day in bed for me. Have told in laws about Covid etc so may not be about for Xmas depending on my test results. We spend Xmas eve with the in laws and Xmas day with my family every year. I still have to tell my mum about my illness, but as she is a worrier no point in doing that until I get my results.

No spends since Monday so that’s good and payday will be soon. Also found out I’m getting a Xmas bonus💰 ! My new place couldn’t be more different from my older job. I had used my survey money to buy last couple of gifts so may move that money to a different pot or I could leave it for next year. Once paid next week, I will be able to clear final debt balances!
2022 Covid or not, we will be debt free 🎉

Thanks @savingholmes and @beanielou it’s so close I can almost taste it!
Its going to feel so different putting the money to savings and not debt. I have a few things on the horizon next year like 2 weddings one of which will be abroad, house buying and a proper home refurb.

Sounds exciting. Just need to make those savings habits stick and not get trapped into new debt cycles. (Speaking from experience... the wrong kind ;) )

Results are in and its negative, maybe I’m just a bit rundown. Will continue with daily lateral flow tests anyway. Only 4 days to go and DD is out of isolating and I finish work.
Such a relief as it would’ve meant isolating on Xmas day. DH doesn’t need to spend another night on the sofa, he will be pleased 😊

Someone I worked with once said I was very frugal and seemed surprised when I took it as a compliment.

@prowla I do think people confuse frugality and miserliness. I like to think of being frugal as making the most of my money, getting the best value and considering purchases before buying. I don’t use shopping as a day out activity anymore. I have also learned the difference between wants and needs and know I can get buy without the last eat this or that.
