Hope you are on the mend really soon.
What I would say is do not make any life changing decisions at the moment.

This year is nearly over and I can absolutely say I cannot wait to see the back of 2023.
I am recovering well from my surgery, feeling fit and have lost a stone in weight. Most of the symptoms I had are all gone and this is the best I have felt for 10 years. Surgeon was very happy with how I’m healing.
Dad is still in hospital, we were told he would be home before Christmas but it seems that organising care at home is more difficult to sort. We have made some headway with things we need to look at in terms of finances and bills so we don’t need to worry about Dad owing money. He seems better in himself and more alert, recognising people and friends. We gave him a little pamper session, cut his nails and moisturised his hands, and he had a smile on his face.
In sad news one of the patients who came to the ward same time as my dad, and who was in much better shape, has sadly passed away. It seems like he had a couple of set backs and then just gave up. He was a nice man and we would chat often on our visits. I feel so sorry for his family.
In my personal life, DH and I are still apart. We did not spend Christmas together and it was strange and sad. But I made some nice memories with DD, it was a different type of Christmas this year. There is no sign of DH getting help and he is suffering with his MH and it is one of the reasons for him moving out, so I will leave him to figure that out. We went out once on date and I suggested we try a new type of relationship, and start again. It was strange as there was something missing. But I have decided that I can’t put my life on hold any longer, in February it will be 6 months apart and I think we will need to decide what we are going to do. He says he does not want to divorce and wants me in his life but he has no feelings, he says he is numb to everyone and everything.
2024 will be the year I put myself first. If I am no longer enjoying my job, I will look for another one. If I don’t like my hair, I will change it. Life is for living after all. We can spend too much time putting things off, for lots of reasons and say things like when I retire ….. but one day it might be too late to do all those things either through illness, disability or death.🎊Debt Free 8 Jan 2022[/center]🎉

Agree totally with putting yourself first, this is going to be my outlook on life. This year has been challenging to say the least. I have been looking after my GK’s during the week whilst their parents work. I don’t mind helping them out as I had help off my mum when my kids were little and appreciated it. This year my youngest GD is starting nursery a couple of days a week which will free up a couple of days for me, tho I will be picking them up from school and nursery. I’m also going to have a ME day once a week where I can go and do what I want.Fingers crossed your dad is home from hospital soon. Well done on the weight loss and your overall health improvement, keep up the good work and focus on yourself in the next coming year.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.001
