We’ve had pizza and beer to celebrate 🎉. Still references that need to be checked but I nearly skipped down the road after I found out.

Happy Saturday my fellow super savers,
So I’ve managed to survive my first week in the new job. It’s exciting and daunting at the same time with so much to learn in a new environment, but I like it so far.
I have kept up with exercise this week too by walking to and from work, totalling almost 10k steps per day! Feeling good for it just need to sort out more comfortable shoes and jacket. I have a company laptop which I fit into a backpack but walk at a brisk pace and with the thick jacket means I’m always a sweaty mess when I reach my destination 🥵.
Debt is still going down, it’s been sad to see the settlement money go down but I know it’s going towards the debt so that is coming down at the same time. I’m hoping by December payday I will have pulled the plug and paid of the last bit to start 2022 debt free!🎉
Right better get moving in my Saturday jobs. Determined to not waste time, so up and out so I can rest and relax later.

Finally managed to cash out on YouGov, only taken 2/3 years! Oh well £50 towards Christmas pressies or a little treat for myself.
My new job is in an industry I’ve always had an interest in, but it’s left me feeling like a middle aged frump, time for a wardrobe update. DD is always saying to treat myself and to choose clothes that have some style and I’ve been dressing completely for comfort for a long time.
I’ve been considering one of those personal shopping experiences in a department store, as it’s not always easy to find well fitting clothes, I’m under 5”2 and pear shaped.
Quite a bit to do today with housekeeping and getting ready for work tomorrow. Better get my skates on, once I’ve finished my ☕️

Well done on the cash out

Investing in clothes that help you feel good is great. Just set a budget beforehand

It’s almost the end of my third week in the new job and still liking it so far. It’s also nearly pay day and a month closer to debt freedom.
Most of the Christmas presents are bought, some are even wrapped and quite looking forward to Christmas this year.
I have been thinking about the new clothes situation and I want classic, well made clothes that will last and will be appropriate for work and socialising, and not make me feel like a frump. I will also add in to the budget money for alterations, I read somewhere that well fitting clothes are just as important as well made.
Must get back to work, almost made it to the weekend!

It’s Sunday and I have been quite productive so far. Dinner is in the oven almost ready, all Christmas presents are wrapped and I have written out some Christmas cards.
I still have a couple of bits to get and some cleaning and organising to do. I have a list of things to do and happy to have crossed some things off already.

    Happy Friday!
It was our department xmas dinner last night. I can’t help feeling that it was the right move. I got to know my colleagues more, and we all get along. Restaurant and food was very nice, service could have been better. I can’t complain I didn’t spend a penny.
Its a WFH day but didn’t lie in. So far I’ve had a shower, cleaned toilet and wiped down bathroom sink, put on dishwasher, swept floor and wiped down kitchen surfaces all before I logged on to start.
Looking forward to a quiet and relaxing weekend, might go into town to see the lights.
Finally finished the money shuffle today, all savings pots have been topped up and debts situation is as follows
    NW card £0
    V3ry £0
    BC card £0
    MBN@ card £876
    Loan £3852
    Total Debt £4728
