    Good Afternoon All

Another quiet day here as the school called another snow day for today, DD is off to Costa Rica today, am just the teeniest bit jealous, but now I have been out I have no intentions of going out again so am sat re-watching some of my fave programmes. Yesterday we watched "Requiem" and were able to watch all 6 episodes even though some haven't been shown yet. Today we have or will:

    Checked Bank & made PAD
    Bloods @ Dr's
Relisted a few bits for sale
    Enter a few comps
    Surveys
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
Checked: Tombola Stars, Lucky Bob, Luckyphone, FPL

Have a great day all, stay safe and warm.

    Hi March Money Magicians,

    Hello, especially Poorlies. :hello:

No travelling into work today because of the :snow_grin but I am co-ordinating closure efforts from home. Feeling not too bad, the Tonsil Plague is passing.

    Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:

    * Good, homemade, sustaining breakfast.

    * Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Holistrio App.

    * Check online banking and broadband usage. Bought a broadband add-on top-up, this is cheaper than over-spending without permission.

    * Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.

    * Ploughed through snow to library to use their Wifi for free and sit in the war for an hour.

    * Collected free prescription from Chemist.

    * Checked loyalty points.

    * Quick omelette for lunch with leftovers.

To live without risk is to risk not living.

    Hi Everyone,

Sending warm hugs to you all. It's mighty cold here in Devon and we, for once, have a decent amount of snow - and a RED weather warning!

    Today I will/have:

Confirm secondary school offer for DS3 - he got the school we wanted :j - DONE
Keep house warm without heating excessively - more layers needed. - DONE
Bake fruity flapjacks with DS2/3 - yum
    Check online banking - DONE
Move cashback payment into savings - DONE
Find affordable/good pet insurance via cashback for newest family member - young cat; it's not easy with so many types of insurance/limits.
Washing on/dry on airer in bathroom
Foxgloves - I felt envious when I read you are making beef stew, so our bangers and mash will become sausage casserole, herby wedges/mash :rotfl:
Sort through school tray/gadget chargers shelf and clear out/tidy.
Fuss over DS2 who has a heavy cold/shattered from school change.
Enjoy not having to go outside today for school runs/taxi service!
I also entered a co=op roadtest offer of a steam iron so fingers crossed I get picked.
    Keep warm everyone.

    Afternoon all :)
Cold here, a bit of snow, but more forecast for this afternoon onwards apparently. Had a hairdressers appointment this morning, so OH dropped me off and went to Mr S to do the shopping. Sadly the local market we normally go to on Thursdays was not allowed by the Council to open today, due to the weather, so more expensive, less nice veg from the supermarket this week :(

    Apart from that:
Checked banks and updated spreadsheet as some of the direct debits have gone out
Received a presentation pack of mint stamps from RM surveys as my time with the survey is coming to an end for a while. Will put them on ebay later :D
    Cleaned bathroom floor
    Put away some clean washing
Went to sales unit while out, as it is money day :j It wasn't that exciting though :rotfl:
Leftover soup for OH and I for lunch, brother has a day's work - hope all ok as he had to go some distance in the bad weather
OH and I have just been out and brought up several wheelbarrow loads of wood from the garage, as the wood store is looking low
    Record shopping spends on spreadsheet
Need to iron some table napkins ready for ebay
Jacket potatoes and leftovers for dinner
Lit the fire, and don't intend to move far from it!

Hope the weather improves by tomorrow morning, as brother has to go to the HA office to sign the documentation for his new flat tenancy. We looked at it yesterday, it is really nice - I wasn't sure what to expect tbh. Luckily, the outgoing tenant left nice carpeting all through, and blinds for a couple of the windows, which the HA are 'gifting' to my brother, ie he can have them, but they are considered his property and the HA will not replace. We now have to help him find enough basic furniture etc to start him off, and pay the first 4 weeks rent up front, but believe me, it will be worth it to have our house back to ourselves :j:j

Foxgloves-I love hearing about the cat. Mine are just lazy with a huge 3 year ginger tom who still drags a baby blanket around...believe me the vet always rolls his eyes when we have to have the baby blanket with him!:rotfl::rotfl:

I also did the same, haven't made my leek and potato soup yet but put a big beef casserole in the slow cooker. When I went to tesc@ yesterday alot of the freezer section was reduced and I picked up a big bag of frozen casserole veg very cheap so chucked it into the slow cooker with any bendy veg
Stuck to the plan and went to M@rrisons this morning. have never known it so busy. Bec of the weather forecast people are panic buying

1LL-I live in North Wales and if we get snow bad then know that the rest of the country is def suffering. My DD is studying at uni in S.Wales. She is in catered accommodation but lectures and catered food are off the menu. Even though she always has food in, said to her to get some food in as they are in the red weather warning area.
Still haven't done any paperwork:o:eek:...must do some later
That's about it from me......not alot so far:rotfl:

Clf hope you’re ok and not hurt
Determined is that just how your new working pattern falls? I’d like that :D

Hope you’re all warm and safe. Plans for today:
Working from home so no commute but may pop to supermarket and farm for milk as tomorrow we won’t be going out I don’t think
Try and get to gym if I can plan it all in one journey
    Tea from stores/planner
Make some biscuits and/try and start a sour dough starter
Small load of washing on, will dry on radiators
Minimal heating on, but realistically when it’s -5 outside it’s going to be difficult for it to be off for too long when we’re in
    Quick tidy round
Post old passport off so I can get a new one sent
Check for surveys and do banking. Payday tomorrow so will be doing final money shuffle of the month.

Stay safe and warm peeps. Purps.

Have done everything apart from make biscuits/starter and post passport as forgot it when I went out.
When I got to the farm their card machine wasn't working, so there was a note up saying, take milk, pay next time. So I did and I will :D
Went to ald1 stocked up on some of our regular produce from there as we find it cheaper than going there often as we get tempted to buy more as we're thinking it's cheaper.
Now bunkered down at home waiting for DH to get home.
Have liberated a bottle of hoisin sauce we were gifted to make Chinese chicken for tea. Using Chinese 5 spice I bought when we lived in our first flat. Moved out in 2005 so there's a chance it might be out of date :rotfl:
Managed heating off until about 2.30 too. Just big jumper on :A

    Stay warm.

    Morning all. It's payday :j:j

DD2 was up early so I made myself a coffee and did the big money shuffle whilst she was eating her breakfast :A
Pots all topped up and all the money in the right place.

    Other plans for today:
Go nowhere :rotfl: (well other than walking smalls to School and back)
    WFH so get lots done
Something from planner for tea. Something warming and wintry I feel.
    Check for surveys
Put passport in envelope so I can post this weekend
    Quick tidy round
Another load of laundry done and dry on radiator
Make sourdough starter and stop procrastinating :rotfl:
Check boiler cover as it's due for renewal
Check fridge for anything that's on the turn and freeze/make something with it
Manicure at Home, using things I already have.

    Hope you're all ok. Purps.
  • Morning purps :D tis mostly always us first thing!

Have been up for a while so have been tinkering with meal plan/shopping list. Am hoping to go shopping today and then other than a top up of milk, bread, fruit not go again until 17th.... We'll see...

Have sorted out cc made payments and straightened out accounts - always feels good to know where you are!

    Today:

    * having haircut - first one since beginning Nov & a home hairdresser so only £20 :T and by all accounts she is the woman of the SE for curly hair - lets hope so!
    * going shopping before hand
    * stick to meal plan - hm fish & chips mmmmm
    * give the kitchen a once over & polish & vacuum upstairs
    * sit down and knit while listening to audio book
    * update spending diary so I know where we are....
    * maybe onepoll
    * think about any extra cash ops there may be....

    Hi March Money Magicians,

    Morning. :coffee:

No travelling into work this morning because of the :snow_grin but I am co-ordinating closure efforts from home. Don't know if Nightshift is on tonight, though, so I had better not use all my energy this morning in case I have to go in. :(

    Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:

    * Good, homemade, sustaining breakfast.

    * Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Holistrio App.

    * Check online banking and broadband usage.

    * Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.

    * Ploughed through snow to library to use their Wifi for free and sit in the warm for a bit.

    * Maybe do some batch cooking, particularly if I don't have to do nightshift. Please, Great Smurf, let there be no nightshift tonight. My tonsils are ok but the best of me feels pretty wrecked. The Smurf has been merciful. Nightshift is off. Dayshift is probably on for tomorrow though.

    * Venture out for petrol later.
