Hello Everyone,
I have been snowed into today, I have done quite a bit work, I find it amazing how much I get done when not in the office. DD school has been closed today too.
- NSD day!
- I need to read meters, which I will do shortly.
- Other than that made use of free TV subscription trial.
- Food from stores, we are well stocked!0 -
Hello all

Hairy Bikers' curries are brilliant Foxgloves. Not tried that particular one (yet), but I regularly use several of their curry recipes
Not much accomplished here today
Walked into town for the first time for ages - I have a sore hip and am waiting to see the doctor (4-6 weeks wait here for an appointment
). Unfortunately it makes walking (one of my pleasures) quite painful
Anyway, did a bit of shopping and posted a couple of ebay items, then walked back.
Bought some old Beano and Dandy annuals in a CS for 7 and 10 year old GDs who are mad on them :rotfl:
Made BLT sandwiches for lunch, to use up some bacon and salad bits
DD and baby GS appeared at lunchtime, and stayed till it was time to pick up GD from pre-school
Leftovers for dinner, with HM cajun oven chips and an egg
Sold another ebay item
Surveys for Yougov and Ipsos (still too cross to bother with visiting onepoll after being screened out after 80% completing 2 surveys yesterday )
Checked banks
Read meters and entered readings on energy company's web site. Scary usage over the last month
Updated spreadsheet after today's spends
Going with my brother tomorrow to view the HA flat he has been offered. Hopefully can ensure the offer is definite, as OH is at the end of his tether with it all again
It is going to cost me to get him in there (some basic furniture and 4 weeks rent upfront) and he will probably need some support going forward, until he can get work / benefits / budgeting sorted. I have warned him that this is his last chance, and he will not be turning up here again penniless and expecting us to keep him. We have been in this situation so many times before - though he hasn't actually got his own flat before, so hoping for the best! 0 -

Morning all :hello: Ziggy hope things carry on improving for you. I've joined a new gym this week and can't believe the difference. Wish I'd done it ages ago. Saved £10/month too

Dawn ouch, take care of yourself. Can't you call the surgery and explain and see if a doctor can call you to discuss rather than waiting?
My list today:
Packed lunches all round, I'll have hm beetroot pate in mine
Something from freezer for tea from planner, mackerel and leek pasta I think
Check banking, miscalculated that 3 dd had already gone out this pay period and they go tomorrow, day before payday. Luckily it only totals £50 and I have the money still in my spends. Annoying though
If cheque clears today, pay to LPDF
Accidentally put washing on last night rather than timer (noise not a MSE) thing. It did mean when I got up extra early it was done so is already out on airer
Drawn curtains back as there is a beautiful full moon out there that's very tranquil
Do app
Hot drink for commute
Look for a cheap headband. Having my hair cut short on Monday and want one for exercise
Cat unimpressed at cold and snow, seems to think it's my fault by the meowing he's doing :rotfl:
Sort costumes and associated books for world book day for tomorrow. Reusing dance show costumes. No spend
Try and fit gym in after work. DH been 6 times between us so far this week :A
Stay safe and warm peeps.0 -

Morning folks!
I hope everyone is feeling better?
Well OH's gig went well and there's a pic of him with Bruce Dickinson (lead singer of Iron Maiden) on Facebook as he was the after dinner speaker at the event.
Hopefully he impressed Bruce so much that he will hire him as his new go-to session guitarist and I can retire and move to Hawaii.
(a girl can dream right??)
Weirdly I managed to get up so much easier when OH isn't here. I think it's cos I can throw the lights on and not creep about. A lot of mornings I'm still struggling to get up at this time, but today I've already checked my banking, reconciled the month start budget in the spreadsheet, had my coffee, started brekkie and paid the car tax!!
Today's mission:- B/L from stores
- Dinner out with a couple of the girls from work. Not MSE but good for the soul
- Getting lifts with them so no transport spends
- Gym at lunch time. I will not let this freelancer eat up my day today!
- Charge phone in work
- Heating off while I'm out. I confess to putting it on low for a few hours overnight. My intention was to leave it on but it clicks and bonks so much that I gave in at 1am and turned it off. Back on high now for an hour till I leave for work.

Morning all

Hope you will still post when retired and living in Hawaii CLF :rotfl:
Modest list for today:
Brown banana for breakfast
Put some food out for the poor birds
Checked banks and updated spreadsheet
Made pastry for chicken and mushroom pie later
Minestrone bubbling on stove for lunch later (will finish cooking shortly and reheat at lunchtime)
RM surveys tasks
Make pie, and use up rest of pastry for mince pies (I still have mincemeat in the larder)
Need to redo freezer inventory and make a list of veg to buy at the market tomorrow (snow permitting, we have only had a few flakes so far, but it is really cold, the outside thermometer reads -5 )
Washing to peg out on line when the wind gets up a bit, as is forecast
Check for surveys later
And some cleaning I suppose
Looking at flat with brother this afternoon, so fingers crossed!!!!0
