Morning everyone
Hope the poorlies are feeling a little better. The lurgy just sounds horrendous, I am so glad that I have managed to avoid it.
Ended up having a lie in this morning, body must have needed it. Will need to go out later just to stock up on cat food as we are expecting to be hit badly weather wise tomorrow and Friday to the point that the Council are deciding to whether to close their offices.
It was bad yesterday, I still went out but the area was like a ghost town, by the afternoon we had blue skies and everything thawing out quickly.
Spent part of yesterday totaling up my spends for the month. Going to complete today but very happy with spends so far considering I had 2 spendy weekends at the beginning of the month.
Have pulled out the last of my leftover turkey and veg soup from Christmas to have for lunch today.
Also have some bendy veg that needs to be used up.
Picked up some leeks and potatoes for 50p yesterday on promotion, will get the slow cooker on the go later ready for leek and potato soup for tomorrow and Friday.
Have some work ready to work from home Thursday and Friday, hopefully they will be NSD with me not planning to go out.
Radiator shuffle to do
banking all checked.
Think that's about it from me, have a good day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi February Fabulistas,
Off to work later.
Feeling poorly and miserable. Short shift today is no consolation. DW's work has been postponed. I'm so jealous, I just want to stay in my chair under my blanket and watch Attenborough.
Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:
* Good, homemade, sustaining breakfast.
* Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Holistrio App.
* Check online banking and broadband usage.
* Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.
* Plough through snow to library to return 2-day-loan-DVD before I'm charged.
* Throat medication etc from stores.
* Dinner is homemade KFC chicken I batch-cooked earlier.
* Cleaned house with Stardrops and washable cloths.

Hi Wednesday Penny Wranglers,
Snowmongousness! Cleared a helpful little trackway for Cat to get from his catflap across the courtyard & then we had loads more snow which covered it over again. Sent apologies for my meeting tonight (lergy) & cancelled dentist appointment on Friday (lergy), as the minute he tips the chair back so I'm lying flat, I'll need to sit up again to have a ten minute coughing fit. Re-made appointment for early April. Surely even this lergy will have gone by then!
*Tested some of the laundry product I was sent to try. Laundry now on heated airer adding a tiny bit of heat to the conservatory which is arctic at the moment.
*Investigated stores in pantry.
*Investigated stores in freezer & wrote a new freezer list in my bullet diary.
*Quite a lot of rhubarb lurking in there, so stewed a bag full & will use to stretch fresh fruit supplies.
*Made a loaf & bread rolls.
*Did next week's meal plans.
*Started shopping list, but didn't get very far, as decided to have a bath in case the steam would be good for my cough.
*Entered a prize draw.
*Did 3 surveys.
*Paid the two savings piggies which still needed cash from yesterday's budgeting & paid us both our personal spends for March - an extra £10 each this time, as all budgets were stuck to well in Feb & it can always be saved till another time if we don't see anything we want to spend it on.
*Remember to update DFW Diary. Now I've started one, I need to remember to keep it up!
That's it for today. I felt truly dreadful first thing....another terrible night's sleep trying to sleep bolt-upright to stop the huge coughing fits which are exhausting & go on for ages. Had to have some codiene as my headache was so bad, but I picked up a bit at lunchtime when mr f appeared as his afternoon work venue was snowed off. He made me some crumpets & strong coffee & I rallied. Am wearing my new handknitted jumper - it does what it said on the tin & fulfills the role of a poncho-type thing as it goes over several layers so is nice & warm. Next project is some socks using up different colourways from my yarn stash.
Hope everyone is staying warm. Glad to hear Ziggy sounding so positive. Sorry Ally still feeling poorly. Re the Attenborough DVDs...have you seen 'Life of Birds'? It's an older one, I know, but one of my favourites, especially those amazingly clever corvids.
Right, off to do diary.

Drove to work through snow-storm. Worked for 10 mins. Was advised building closing because of the weather. Drove home. Got paid a day's wage.
Tomorrow's dayshift is off tomorrow too, but I may need to cover nights instead.

Clf hope you’re ok and not hurt
Determined is that just how your new working pattern falls? I’d like that
Hope you’re all warm and safe. Plans for today:
Working from home so no commute but may pop to supermarket and farm for milk as tomorrow we won’t be going out I don’t think
Try and get to gym if I can plan it all in one journey
Tea from stores/planner
Make some biscuits and/try and start a sour dough starter
Small load of washing on, will dry on radiators
Minimal heating on, but realistically when it’s -5 outside it’s going to be difficult for it to be off for too long when we’re in
Quick tidy round
Post old passport off so I can get a new one sent
Check for surveys and do banking. Payday tomorrow so will be doing final money shuffle of the month.
Stay safe and warm peeps. Purps.0 -
Ouch CLF nose and head sound painful, hope nose not too bruised
Foxgloves & Ally hope you are both feeling better soon
Weather ok so far, a few snowflakes flying about, u can see it is gearing up for an onslaught. Thinking of popping out to get a few extra cat bits. Went to Tesc@ for the cat's favourite cat food yesterday and the shelves were literally empty. Picked up one of a few packs left paying an extra 80p than I normally would but worked out the cost of petrol going somewhere else for a pack just wasn't worth the time or money.
If I go to Morris@ns this morning I can pick up extra of their favourite (and just happens to be cheapest) cat litter aswell.
Banking all checked, d.debits have gone out and everything looking good.
Thinking of listing a couple ebay items tonight that I didn't do last night. Ended up dozing off at 8.30pm
Recycling and bin out, wasn't sure if they would be done today, but I can hear them now which is early for us.
Did a little bit more of updating spends book for Feb as I found a couple of extra receipts but everything still looking good. Will finish today.
Paperwork to do, must crack on today
Enjoy the 8 days off DNMS, sounds brilliant

Hello Snowballs,
Not much going on around here except snow. And then some more snow. Managed to convince mr f that driving a 52-mile round trip to his work base to a part of the county that is potentially even snowier than here, when he could go less than 2 miles to a more local base, was not one of his brighter ideas. One coffee later & he agreed! Though he wouldn't agree to wearing his waterproof which is apparently too big ("That's because it is supposed to go over lots of warm layers", I said) & also cr*p ("Just because you no longer like something doesn't make it cra*p", I said, but I wasn't going to win on that one & he went out in 2 hoodies, scarf, hat & gloves, which is quite sensible for him, so I didn't persist!)
Tiny list:
*Free fitness clearing snowdrift from back door & digging out a path from catflap (Cat showed his appreciation by staying in bed).
*Put a big beef stew in the slow cooker. Rounded up plenty of veg too & chucked in a home made chicken stock from the freezer instead of water. Should be enough for tonight plus some to freeze.
*Re-filled our little plastic boxes with dried fruit for work snacks.
*Did a couple of surveys - not many around this morning & Toluna has compounded this by failing to recognise my (correct!!) password again & locking me out.
*Sorted out 2 small payments from savings piggies. Only a small amount of cash, but can't see the point running this system if I don't keep it accurate.
*Entered a prize draw.
*Write shopping list. I've started this, will finish it after lunch.
*All free leisure today - since I got up at 6am, it has only stopped snowing once for about 15 mins, so I am staying indoors & will catch up with watching TV (just started watching 'Requiem') & knitting & reading. Think my hands are too cold to play the piano.
*Update my new DFW diary
Hope poorly people feeling better.....Oh, one of them is me! I actually managed a decent sleep last night for the first time in ages, as managed to lie flat without the dying yak cough subsuming me. I am still lergyfied, but think I may be at the turning point today. Hope so. Anyway, love to all other poorlies on here, plus bumped people. Honestly, cat is snoring so loudly I can hardly think!
