Even though it was a short week it still felt like hard going. Not much progress made on the garden, mainly due to feeling knackered. We did manage a tip run and had a tidy up.Finally finished the living room, the blinds were put in yesterday. Very pleased with my fabric choice and how it all looks. Interior design is not my thing.Today’s jobs are brush the dogs, trying to make sure I do this every Sunday to keep on top of their coats, quick walk to retrieve the bin and then need to move topsoil and pick the stones out. Need to be careful I don’t put my back out.I need to attack OHs hair when he gets home, he tried to go to the barbers when we were in town but the queue was massive. Managed to get my patch test done for my hair and some other jobs off the list. We did have brunch whilst out and about.Friends came over for drinks last night, that was nice. No sore head this morning either. Gave her some money to get tickets for a tribute act that’s playing at the end of July.Ordered our euros which were delivered yesterday and the ehic cards as well.Tomorrow I’ve got my annual review. I’m really too old for this corporate sort of stuff. The outdoor plugs have been installed, another thing off the list.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

I did brush the dogs and stone picked the top soil plus chopped OHs hair.I’ve made an appointment at the docs for Thursday. I am so tired and my joints ache. I think it might be to do with the menopause. I haven’t had a period since March (hallelujah) though you can bet I’ll have one on holiday! I don’t know anyone on HRT and welcome anyone’s suggestions. I really don’t feel myself and have the energy levels of a slug, a slug that was squashed 3 weeks ago.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Good plan to make a Dr's appointment - and to look at HRT as well. I was on it until the start of the year but am off again at the moment as it was giving me some problems with my fibroids - thoroughly looking forward to being able to go back on it again in a few months too, you forget what a difference it makes! I'd 100% advocate for it as long as there are no genuine medical reasons you can't - don't be put off by a GP trying to tell you that it increases cancer risk - other than in a small subset of people it really doesn't by any significant amount, and the health benefits (and the quality of life benefits!) far outweigh any risk there is. Try and do some reading from reliable websites first - the NHS site is a good place to star, and if you prefer going for the patches (generally reckoned to be the safest form) then push for those too.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Long time lurker here - Hi! 🙋♀️
I agree with EssexHebredian - the difference HRT makes is unbelievable.
I started with the gel and, to be honest, I felt like I was basting a turkey every morning (which is not a great feeling when you don't feel great about yourself).
Despite slathering myself with the gel, my absorption rate was not great so I moved on to patches and they make such a difference.
I was really lucky that I spoke with a sympathetic GP, at a time in my life where things were awful and the symptoms were exacerbating already difficult circumstances. The GP told me to have a good think about considering HRT, after going through a lot of information with me and determining I was not high risk of getting cancer. For me it was a no brainer so I walked out of the consultation with my prescription for HRT.
I regularly tell people to "slap on a patch" if there is no reason they cannot use HRT. It really is a life changer!

Thanks so much for posting. I feel lucky that I haven’t had the hot flushes. I just don’t feel like me. I hope I’m seeing the right doctor, the lady doctor I saw last time wasn’t very helpful. Part of me thinks I should suck it up and get on with it, which is my normal default mode.Going to try on my holiday clothes when I get back. Need to check what fits, hopefully it all will be ok as there is zero in the clothes pot as I wiped it out and then some getting my hiking boots and shoes last month.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Had a great chat at the doctors. He took some bloods and I go back in a couple of weeks. I might be able to lower the dose of some of the meds I take. He’s going to look into HRT in the meantime.Tried on holiday clothes and then ended up going through the rest of the wardrobe. I’ve got a small pile of clothes to go on vinted, which DD2 said she’d list for me. I’ll take them down when I head south in July
