Onwards and the debt goes downwards!

In hedgehoggery news, he was struggling to gain weight and maintain his body temperature. I called the vets and dropped him off this morning in the hope they can get him to thrive and then be released. 

Car seems to be behaving which is a relief. I had thought my last shift at the b&b was on Sunday until I get a message asking if I knew that I was in last night? Nope not a clue. Anyway I quickly donned appropriate attire for front of house and did a 3 hour shift. I don’t normally do front of house as it’s out my comfort zone and I like to hide behind the scenes but I quite enjoyed it. Had some great guests in who I could have some banter with. 

The other plus was OH ended up doing all the cleaning as Monday is housework day.

Back off holibobs and it was hot, very hot. I’m not built for 31 degree heat. We’re both very crispy round the edges!!  Managed to get each at least one Christmas present while we were there and I didn’t do too badly and got some new baubles (jewellery) as well. Also purchased a lovely leather belt, very much needed as my trousers keep falling down!
Came home to find the sheep had got in the garden. Incredibly !!!!!! off as they’ve eaten my herbs and sweet peas which had just started to thrive. Everywhere is covered in sheep !!!!!! so will need to get that sorted. 

I’ll phone the vets later to see how Merrys doing.  

Managed to do a massive lidl shop on the way home, so the fridge is full. 

Tumble dryer has decided to stop working. Had a Quick Look on google and hopefully OH might be able to mend it. It’s not that old so really hope it works.

Not having the best start to being back home, tumble dryer not working, see above (just bought a new dishwasher) got in car and noticed mahoosive crack in the windscreen which wasn’t there yesterday, my earring just fell out and can’t find the other half. Phoned the vets and the hedgehog didn’t make it.

Oh L I'm sorry all round, although glad you had a lovely time on holidays, that at least is something, although it fades fast enough let along when everything immediately goes T-up!

A busy service last night with 37 covers!  Ordered some wood to carry on with the garden work. OH blocked up the hole the woolly fudgers were getting in, however came home and there was one on the lawn so need to find the gap that ones using. 

OH has looked at the dryer and it needs a new motor, so I’ll try and source that today if I get time. Got 2 cottages to clean before this afternoons shift. Also need to sort out the windscreen and get that repaired before I go south. Booked the car in to get 2 new tyres and it needs tracking but that won’t happen until I come back from south trip.

Just ordered the motor for the TD after checking with OH it was the right one. Still need to do windscreen, ran out of time yesterday. Slow night last night only 19 covers. Nice early finish though. 

Going to do some batch cooking ready for when the chaps all come to stay in August. 

Still need to sort the wages out and do the money shuffle and pay the cc. 

Chasing a chap for a delivery of stone we need who has gone radio silent.

You are busy!  Great that OH can fix the tumble dryer.

Made 2 huge lasagnas and froze them. I was going to make a batch of sticky toffee pudding but I didn’t have any dates but added them to the Morrisons order. 

Managed to do some money shuffling and paid the cc but the balance to pay for next month is large. Money is haemorrhaging in a very scary fashion!  OH is buying an attachment for the digger which will mean we can move some of the massive rocks lying around (secondhand). He’s collecting that tonight. Also had contact from the stone chap 20 tonnes (eek) being delivered tomorrow and wood arriving on Tuesday. 

We both have another week off staring on Thursday but I’m still doing the b&b job as it’s harder for her to find cover. 

Had a Quick Look at my work emails 425 to get through so far. 

Must brush the dogs today as it’s been 3 weeks.
