My pooch found this youngster in the garden. I’ve scooped it up and talking to a rescue. No obvious signs of injury but very wobbling when it walks, so I’ve mixed some rehydration water. Not sure if there’s any rescues on Skye but will wait to see what the experts say.
Car decided to start on jump leads. However we think we know why it decided not to start. I opened the gate with the keys in my pocket and  OH drove down whilst I walked. We presume it’s some kind of anti theft thing. I’m going to phone the garage tomorrow and see if that’s the case and what to do if it happens again.

Aww look at your little hoggy! Hope he's recovering and that you find someone who can take him!

Fingers crossed about the car thing too - mine requires the keycard to be in the car for it to run, IIRC it cuts out if I get out and walk round the front of the car with the engine running, so your thought does seem possible.

Sadly car is poorly and waiting to be carted off to Inverness. It’s never good timing but we go on holiday on Wednesday.
Meredith (hedgehog) is still in residence. She’s eating puppy meat, no rescues have replied. I’ve weighed her today, 140g.
OH is off to get the new dishwasher tomorrow so he’ll grab some more puppy meat whilst he’s out. Hoping neighbour will take over looking after her as well as the pooches.

No rescue places here, so we can contact a vet for any wildlife issues, if that's an option??

OH remembered to get the puppy food. Neighbour will look after Meredith along with the fluffies.
Car news…. The garage put it on a critical charge setting and charged it up overnight. He took it for a run and no alerts came up. He locked it up to see if it would hold the charge, which it has. So we’re going to pick it up from town today. Luckily it wasn’t shipped off to Inverness. Incredibly grateful to the garage. Will still need to book it in for a service when we get back.
Incredibly hot at work last night, did 30 on Thursday and 21 covers last night.
Gardening work still continuing but it seems to be 2 steps forwards and 1 back.

Well Meredith now identifies as Merry as I did managed to have a look when he uncurled.
Car collected and seems to be ok. All this because I had the key in my pocket. We also purchased a new battery charger as recommended by the garage.
We’ve laid 2 drains and back filled them. One of the drains was back filled with sludge dugout from the stream, which was a bit pongy but made good use of it. Absolutely cream cracked now. I was the gopher on the wheel barrow and OH was master of the digger.
Doing a b&b shift tomorrow to make up for being away next week. 3 days to work and then holibobs
Had my eyelashes tinted, pedicure and manicure but didn’t have any varnish put on as it always chips and I can’t abide chipped varnish. I did indulge in some clear polish today which I’ll slap on tonight if I can stay awake long enough
    Right off to Bedfordshire

That was a Phew moment with the car then - glad it worked out not too pricey and no requiring an Inverness trip!

Seems like you may now have a hedgehog to add to the animals then? Maybe he's one that has been relocated from Uist, assuming they are still doing that!
