I’m so glad it’s the weekend. Busy both nights at the b&b. Thursday night 34 covers and last night 30 covers. Just going to chill today, load of washing and hopefully peg it out, might even bake a couple of lemon drizzle cakes as there’s some very sad lemons in the fruit bowl. I need to crochet 2 more squares then I can start joining it up. Get the mutts out for a walk.

Do any of you wise plant people know what this is on my plant? Don’t know what the plant is but up until a couple of weeks ago it was happy. It did have an infestation of aphids which I nuked with washing up liquid.

I'm glad the GP appointment was worthwhile.  While you are waiting for your follow up appointment try and take it easy - you are always a busy bee.

I recognise the plant, but not sure what the problem is. You could identify the plant with a free app (I use PlantNet) and then g00gle 'black spots on underside of **** plant' or whatever. The rest of the plant looks healthy though, so hopefully nothing to worry about.

I'm glad about the Drs appointment too - fingers crossed for the follow-up appointment.

What happened about your blown away shed??

The blown away shed was dismantled and we’ve salvaged as much as we can. The internal frame had twisted so was no use. Hoping to use the undamaged sheets on shed part 2. We’ve ordered some blocks which were delivered on Tuesday. So it’ll be partly block work and then use the salvaged sheeting for the sides and roof. We’ve had a quote for the block work as OH isn’t keen to do it. At the moment we’re concentrating on the garden. Last night was spent filling in holes from where we’d pulled out stones that kept catching the mower, some of the rocks were huge.

I took a sneaky day off on Tuesday, the weather was good and OH was off. The day didn’t quite go according to plan. Got the digger stuck then a track snapped, so that was the end of diggering. £400 later, new tracks ordered. However the digger isn’t in a great position to be repaired and we have no means of moving it. OH did pop down to see if the fish farm chaps could use their loader to lift ours out but there was no one around.
So we didn’t waste the day we did some concreting on the shed pad to make that a better base for the block work. Cooked a roast chicken dinner and neighbour came round for tea.

I think we’ve had our run of 3 things going wrong, shed blew away, track snapped on the digger and now the dishwasher has died. No electric going to the switch. Plug socket is fine and a new fuse didn’t work so think it’s a circuit board. Dr google tends to agree. Will order a new one when we come back off holiday because if I order it now it’ll be delivered while we’re away.
Dogs went to the vets yesterday 2 for their boosters and 1 needed a pet check before she could get her drugs. I was charged £27 just to have her heart listened to!!!
Had a sneaky coffee and cake and bumped into a friend who joined us. That was lovely

Did some more gardening but it didn’t really gel what we’re trying to achieve.

Hmmm not sure my run of 3 things going wrong is over. My car wouldn’t start yesterday, hoping it’s the battery. OH is going to charge it tonight and see if that does the trick. Luckily Gary Golf was available and I made it to the hairdressers.
Owe work a half day which I’ll pay back on Thursday.
