Started building the shed yesterday, hopefully get it put together today but not sure we’ll manage to concrete the floor. Going to one of OHs work mates house for drinks tonight. Want to be home for Eurovision.
I’ve decided I’m not arty clarty, my ‘jewellery’ looked like a 3 year old had gone on a rampage with silver wire and sea glass.
My second pair of shoes I ordered have arrived. I’ve sent the first pair back. I’m not sure if it’s the orthotic insoles (new design) or the shoes but my feet were so sore after I finished my shift. I could only hobble by the time I got them off. Hopefully I’ll break them in before they break me!
Had a monthly meeting to check in with the troops at head office. There is a site that we have built from the ground up and I had solar installed. However there was a problem connecting it to the grid so it’s been running off generators for a while and the solar was switched off. I asked in the meeting what the timescale was for it to go live on the grid. Apparently it went live in January and nobody told me.!!! Solar panels should go live this week. Frustrated.
Booked my car in for its MOT, that’s on Tuesday. Enjoying the gorgeous weather.

We have started shed building. Got the sides up and some of the roof supports. It’s going to need some reinforcement as it is quite flimsy and won’t stand up to the wind.
The weather looks like it’s going to change at the end of the week so need to make the most of it.
OH is working today not sure what mischief I’m going to get up to.

My car failed its MOT. 2 new tyres needed, ordered and booked in for Tuesday. It will need some new front ones shortly.
Work has been gruelling so far. I’m struggling with a project and stuck my head above the parapet to ask for help. It wasn’t a resounding success but at least they know. I’ve also been asked to go to HO. I’m looking at potentially going in July. It’s hard because I need to juggle my other job. I think I’ve got a cunning plan, just need to keep all balls bouncing.

Just renewed our house insurance and saved £600. I know!! Last year I just had to go with it as I was in hospital.

So let’s talk about shed building. Today we laid the concrete slab for the shed to sit on and it looked really good. I did mention it was a bit flimsy and would need reinforcements. OH had done a sterling job finishing off and once the concrete set (tomorrow) we could put the ground anchors in. Came home from work and the shed was no longer sitting elegantly on its newly laid pad, no it had draped itself all over the fence in a twisted mangled wreck. Back to the drawing board. Tomorrow we’ll see what’s salvageable.
