I!!!8217;m 30 and have a 3 year old son, I!!!8217;ve had a miscarriage and am now nearly 38 weeks pregnant with another boy.
It is hard work. All of it. Trying to conceive, pregnancy, loss, childbirth, lack of sleep, feeding, weaning, reduction in income/disposable income, the guilt of working/not working, toddler tantrums, potty training the list goes on and we haven!!!8217;t even started the school days yet! And we wanted and love our child(ren). Our son is the centre of our lives. Trust me don!!!8217;t have kids unless you REALLY want them. I see so many parents that simply treat their kids as an inconvenience.
I would never ask someone why they didn!!!8217;t have kids as I!!!8217;d be mortified if someone asked me why I had them!0 -

Fair enough but who's paying for your choice? Given that you're on MSE, I'll assume you don't have private healthcare or send your children to private schools and probably get CB.
So maybe think on before you describe the childfree as "selfish", there are several of us who have actively chosen not to place any further stress on the NHS, the government and indeed the environment.[/QUOTE
You have taken my reply out of context - probably to cause trouble.
With respect to my own circumstances - sorry to disappoint, but what you say couldn't be further from the truth. My 4 children were all educated privately and all work in professional fields. Actually, I do have private healthcare - not that it's any of your business.0
