  • Hey sneak, there was a mother on LK Today this morning talking about how her 19 yr old son was addicted to weed and it was ruining his life. It was quite sad, she said she couldn't let him come to her house anymore as she has 2 younger children and he causes too much trouble when he is stoned. They were also talking about how much stronger weed is now then when people were smoking it in the 60's.
Anyway It made me think of you so thought I would come on here and see how you are doing. Glad to here job is still going well and you have been paid, just don't use it as an excuse to buy more dope! Hope you are trying to get help and cut down your bongs. Just imagine what you could do if you had an extra £400 a month because you weren't doing drugs!
    Debts in April 07 = £12,547.61 Debts in Aug 08 = £0
    I'm debt free! Woohoo!

Hi sneak, my ex-husband is a smoker. Please note I say EX.I loved him to bits but couldn't cope with his mood swings, the amount of money he spent etc.I left him taking our kids with me.I'm pleased you're doing your best to make things right and get off it now.I understand your girlfriend buying you smoke, I used to give my husband money too as I thought he was a nicer person with it.When you have kids you try to do the best to give them a nice atmosphere. When I realised that he didn't want to give up then I decided to make the break.we still see him every day. He's a good friend and good dad.I wish he'd have the courage to give up like you though.
I am worried about you taking Kava Kava.I looked it up like you suggested but the only information I seem to find is that it is BANNED in the uk and has side affects that affect your liver etc.
This can't be a good thing can it. Have you thought about seeing your doctor or talking to a drugs counseller to see what they suggest?
    I do wish you well.
lost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

hey guys thanks for the replies so soon! am just in work at the moment supposed to making a product database, stoppin off here first tho lol.

ok bout the kava kava, i was interested in it and wanted to know more so i did alot of research, it was banned in the uk etc, for a while due to a load of muppet taking loads and causing themselfs many problems some died i think but it was due to severe abuse of the substance. its now been reviewed and due to the people abusing it etc it been legalised again but not everywhere, its still illegal in the dam and places like that lol can u imagine!
anyways its legal now but there are still websites sayins its illegal so you buy there expensive imitation crap that wil do you more harm hahaha.

there is a few good places you can get it with alot of info, i bought it from
hxxp://www.biovea.net/ for about a tenner. should be here this week so il give it a go. should help me sleep alot better so i can cut down easier on smoking a million bongs before bed.

take a look see what ya think.

nic: i think about that £400 all the time man, id even probably have money left over at the end of the month if i did stop lol. have seen alot of them things on LK about weed and stuff they really are quite deep somtimes i wish i had seen it this morning now coz it makes me think alot about what am doing to others.

mollypop thats really sad about your husband, i just hope i can sort myself out. sometimes wen am angry with ma bird and jus want a smoke i cudnt be bothered what happens, but then wen have had a smoke and iv jepardised my relationship coz of it i feel like a right !!!!!!!

Debt Free Wannabe is for help and support, remember. And for the record, when I was smoking through, lets just say more then £10 per day I was still able to function normally. So yeah, thanks for your constructive post there, I'm sure that helped.

Hi JCD, I think you misinterpreted my post, big wink at the end there clearly marking it as a bit of light humour, which got a thanks from the OP, so id imagine he thought it was funny too.

just FYI i in the past have smoked weed on a few occasions, not regularly, certainly wasnt addicted, but in my case it made me relaxed, and not want to stand up, but it got boring pretty quickly, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone as i think there are better ways of reaching a higher state, or making yourself happy that dont need drugs or alchohol.

I appreciate the sentiments of your post, and if i was being rude or condescending it may be warrented, but it clearly isnt needed here, i think the OP is reaching the realisation that he doesnt need weed, and i think he should be comended for doing so albeit with the help here.

I wish both you and the op well

    Kev
