Good luck sneak. Pots like any addiction....mine's gambling and I'm kicking it they all end up costing you money and much more. At 19 with a bit of luck you'll kick it and start enjoying life for what it is. My advice would be (for what it's worth) spend more time in places you can't smoke., which is just about everywhere. So get your backside off the setee and go and hal a pint or a coke down the local. Even if you have a couple it will be cheaper than your current habit.

It really doesn't matter how much money you have. If you're spending it on drugs then you're never going to get sorted. £10 a day... that's £70 a week... just over £300 a month solely on screwing your head up. Even if you got a part time job all your money would be going on that which leaves no room for debt repayment.
Sort the drugs problem first, then you'll be in a fit state of mind to sort out the debt.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

sweetie without facing the real issue here you are not going to get your finances sorted. the fear of money can be largely induced by the drugs and inparticular if you are fearful that if you have money you will spend it on drugs.
Do you have a bank account that you can cut the card up to therefore limiting your access to the money? can you change your mobile number so as your dealer cannot contact you, and with a new sim card you hopefully won't have you dealers number either. Cutting out the easy access to the drugs and making it as difficult as possible to get access will soon help you to stay away from it and realise YOU DON'T NEED IT!!!
honey are there any underlying issues in your life that are making you hide behind the weed at all? maybe this is the one that you need to address before addressing the finances.
We will all be here for you no matter what happens and what choices you make. Keep on posting.debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
The first thing to do seeing as most of your money is going on the drugs, I'd go to your doctors and seek help to come off the drugs and then you can tackle the financial problem.
Trying to get a handle on your financial problems whilst battling an addiction is going to be a nightmare and a never ending viscious circle.BR 4/10/07

You need to get some support to help you stop smoking the cannabis.
Go to your GP to see what help groups or programmes are available and call Talk to Frank on 0800776600.
when you know you have the support to stop the £10 a day habit you can start sorting out your finances.
Good luck."Stay Wonky":D

100% agree with what Wok boy said mate. You need to get off the drugs first. The paranoia and psychological problems the drugs will cause will only make things harder for you to deal with. You are young enough (and with relatively low debts) to get this cleared up really quickly if you can get off the drugs, work hard and earn a decent amount of money. Lots of places are taking people on part-time for the christmas rush so you could easily get another part-time job and really boost your income.
Please see your doctor and see what they can do to help you. It's not a problem that's going to go away on its own - you must get help. Best of luck to you and huge respect for you admitting your problem and facing up to it. That's the first step and it's the biggest I promise!!QUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0 -
hey every i cant believe all the help people have offered me. Pania thank you very much for your support! much appreciation
Im in a real state, my addiction has a propa grip on me. i have cut down alot since i was out of work a couple of weeks ago and i spoke with my mum but she wudnt give me money becuase i explained about my addiction, i told her it was £70 but at the time it was more like £150 a week. in my previous job i was survivng on £200 a week no problems so i was jus spendin it without thinking. im now back into monthly pay which means problems for me in a way. when i get bulk amount of money like a £1000 am guna go mental with it an bomb it out in a week. I worked for B&Q before my £200 labouring job, and got paid monthly pay. when i resigned coz they are !!!!!! i ended up overdrawing my bank by about £300 with no overdraft coz i ad no money, so i ended up gettin charged an it now stands at about £440, my natwest is also overdrawn by £400 mostly in charges. i left and overdrawn my account, then like an idiot i didnt put any of my next set of wages into paying it of. i didnt buy any of my pawned stuff back, and in the end when i left that job as i was workin off the books i lost out on ma week in hand (£200) and was propa screwed over. so i managed to get a job on the 2nd of this month, am on £1250 a month before tax which is the best wage iv ever been on. so in this time of about 3/4 weeks before i started ma new job i have been borrowing money to feed ma addiction lol so ma debts jus escalate every day, then as i have to wait for ma wages and work a month my debts are goin up even more!
i think i owe altogether about a grand. i have set up a payment sceme with the banks of £10 and £20 a month for a few months to pay it off. when i get paid i jus need to clear as much as possible but then still have enough money to last me the month without getting into debt. I REALLY CANT WAIT TO HAVE MA FULL WAGES IN MA HAND AND OWING NOTHIN, I WOULD JUS HAVE TO REALLY CAREFULL BECAUSE THIS IS WHEN I JUST GO AND SMOKE ALL MY MONEY!
I have managed to get my addiciton down to £10 a day, this i use mostly to get to sleep at night and a couple of bongs in the morning before work.
I know i need to give it up and everyone keeps telling me but i really dont think i can or i want to its stupid. i dont have much else to do, i have a g/f she hates me smokin it but she has been helpin me and buyin it me to get me thru this hard time of havin no money which i really appreciate but sometimes it dont half cause arguments. i started smokin bud when i was about 13/14 when my mum and dad split up, then when they properly seperate and lived apart i felt i could do what the hell i wanted and started taking a lot of class A stuff. iv stopped all that now coz my girlfriend asked me to when i got with her so that saves me a lot of money but weed is sendin me insane!
Iits screwing up my head big time i go crazy in arguments and start smashin stuff up i feel like a completely different person. Dont smoke weed lol!
anyways am ramblin on, im going to stick to this and clear my bloody debts in the next 2 month, i need to cut down my spendin and have more fun with maself and ma life! lol i think this is what a think am doin now tho smokin all this weed coz jus not enuf to do in life for the youngsters!debt free wanabeee0 -
