Hiya Sneak, I think everyone else has said everything I could possibly say to you. My younger brothers started smoking when they were 13/14 and the older one of the two (now 25) says looking back it totally messed up his schooling and made him very paranoid. He also progressed on to other drugs once the buzz of weed didn't work for him anymore.
I wish you all the luck in the world trying to kick your habit. It probably won't be easy in the short term, but in the long term it will be one of the best decisions you will ever make. Make sure you have plenty of support from your parents, girlfriend, GP, mates etc. If your mates are still smoking, try not to hang with them.
Best of luck with your debts too. Stick around - I'd like to see how this turns round for you.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

The first step as many have pointed out is to cut down on the drugs, each day just take less and less, last thing you want to do is feel you "have" to have a joint, it is optional and you are still in control.
Perhaps try doing some else with your spare time instead of smoking cannabis?, how about exercise?, very addictive, push yourself to do more weights every week etc, I also know someone that gave up smoking using a powerball, every time he wanted a fag he'd spin the powerball up and give it blast, each day he'd try and build up his score more and more!, it just totally took his mind off the fags and he soon just didn't need a fag.
You've took the first step in seeing their is a problem which is great, don't see the drugs as friends or part of having a good time, think of it as a waste of money and you can have a great time without them! What Happened To Summer!?

Hi Sneak - I don't think I can add much to the fab posts above, but I just wanted to wish you all the best and echo the advice to tackle the addiction first, and THEN tackle the debt.
I....er....have a 'friend' who once went off the rails a bit (in her younger days) and ended up doing some things she wasn't proud of - and I can tell you for certain she thinks life is much better without that crap messing up her head."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Sneak, well done for posting here and getting such good advice and support from the DFWs. You sound less and less stoned with every post. Every day is a new day and a new chance to do more of having a life and less of smoking dope. Do follow up all the sources of help that have been suggested and do keep posting here. Hello Sneak. I have no idea what you are going through but I can say this. If you really want to give up then there will be all of us cheering you every step of the way. Have you thought about talking to someone, I notice in your post that your parents split up when you were young ( to a wrinkly like me a teenager is young). However whatever you decide to do good luck and keep posting.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

I have total respect for the way you want to turn your life around.... Everyone on here has had issues in their lives - for some it's gambling, some have relationship problems and some of us spend beyond our means. It took a lot of courage to put that first post on and from reading all the replies, everyone is very supportive.
Good luck for the weekend mate - don't beat yourself up if it doesn't go the way you want it to. Just take a day at a time and be proud of every little achievement, no matter how small.
Be strong and keep posting - we are all here for you.
