Hmmm, @Sun_Addict, I'm convinced cats on beds overnight start up with the loud purring as soon as they sense movement as part of a charm offensive for getting their breakfast early!

Thank goodness it's Friday and payday 😊
Need to check finances but as they're more or less checked every day and I always have a forward look ready for payday, I know where every penny is going. Even my banking app has sent me a happy payday message 🤣
Today will be NSD 14/15. It's not been easy this month trying to hit the 15 day target so will reduce it to 12 for November, particularly as I have a week off and would like to be out and about if possible. Plus I intend to get most of my Christmas shopping done by the end of November.
The cat has been out all night. The fact her fur was dry when it's raining indicates she spend the night on Mr SA's scooter under the cover and sitting on the battery charger to keep herself warm. The dog slept on our bed last night but she was a bit of a duvet hog meaning I was barely covered.
Managed to empty the laundry basked and get everything line dried yesterday so don't need to worry about it today. The laundry basket fills up alarmingly quickly thanks to Mr SA so I don't expect it to remain empty for long.
Have a fabulous Friday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
I’m hoping to get most of my Christmas present shopping done in November too, then December is much more relaxed. I’m the same with my spreadsheets, it’s all pre planned, but I colour in each item as I shuffle the money and every time a dd goes out. Then I have a running total of what’s gone and what’s due (uncoloured) and at the very bottom…what’s left 😁

I’ve just had the dreaded end of fixed tariff email from 🐙 Looking at the monthly payment almost doubling. Had to laugh at the new fixed rate they offered me £300 a month, I don’t think so 🤣😱 So, as advised by Martin, I will do nothing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Another WW live cook along after work, this was for Diwali and also veggie, it was good.Feel loads better today so did a FitOn workout.Got out of the bath to find Mr SA had found the hidden Halloween sweets, opened them and put them by the door. I’m still in two minds about Trick or Treating this year, especially with Covid rife in kids and I wouldn’t give out sweets before 31 October if anyone knocked so don’t know why he did this. Although I love to see the kids dressed up, I hate the constant knocking on the door that drives the dog nuts. I do have a rule, I won’t answer the door after 7pm. If it was left to me I’d just switch the lights off and stay at the back of the house but Mr SA won’t stick to this - annoying because it’s not him who has to go to the door.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I don't do Halloween at all. I don't answer the door. That would probably explain the eggs on my windows. That is certainly going to persuade me to give them treats the next year. The first year I wasn't even there to answer the door, so never going to happen now!I seem to be a grouch - not really honest, I just don't like being forced.6

Fortunately the kids that do the Trick or Treating round here are little ones with their parents supervising. They dress up really well and are very polite and grateful for the sweets. One year a couple of teenaged boys knocked on the door not even dressed up. I told them they were far too old to be trick or treating, they looked so sheepish I gave them a lollipop each for their cheek, they thanked me and went on their way 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

We dont do halloween and put a noticeon the door to that effect. This is mainly because with 3 dogs going ballistic when the door goes it is just too much. Being older we are also wary of opening the door at night.
