I just looked out of the window and there must’ve been around 30 people walking down our road dressed up in costumes. They’re looking for Halloween things though so haven’t knocked. Next door have got the best idea, they’ve decorated up but gone out 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I am old fashioned I freely admit but I was a bit surprised to see one little girl out with her parent abviously trick or treating but had no costume. I thought that was the point of trick or treating or have I missed something. Its not a thing we have ever done so am prepared to be informed by wiser ( and more modern) heads.

We trick or treated in the late 70’s, but only round the neighbours we knew and in homemade witch, wizard or monster costumes. Also carrying a turnip lantern, burning your fingers holding the looped string. Pumpkins were unheard of! It feels wrong when they aren’t Halloween themed costumes.I was sad that it’s so rainy here we didn’t get any callers 🙁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Well that’s it, Halloween done for another year 👍 Phew. The GKs went to a Halloween do this afternoon, they looked fabulous all dressed up. I’ll be honest and say when I was their age I was terrified of Halloween. A teacher at my primary school told me if you looked out of the window at midnight on Halloween you’d turn into dust. It scared the life out of me for years 🤣 And I hate clowns 🤡😱

Well we didn’t have anybody trick or treating, but there again we don’t have that many kids in our close. Weather didn’t help either. Now is a good time to buy any Halloween stuff that should be reduced in the shops for next year. Shops will now go full on for Xmas.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.004

Happy Monday and happy November.
Got a really busy work day have trained someone on the work figures first thing and have another meeting shortly. At least the day will pass quickly.
Monday is usually a NSD but I've had to pop out and buy some milk for Mr SA's coffees as we only have a tiny bit left. At least it gave me a purpose to have a stride out in the fresh air.
Sunny and windy at the moment so got two loads of washing out.
I need to look at finances at some stage, I know I overspent on the grocery budget last week but won't need to buy as much this week. I've had an email from Oddbox about this week's contents so I shall see if I think it's worth £12.99 although this week's box is half price. Apparently it's arriving overnight on Saturday and will be there on Sunday morning when I get up, the only problem with that is if it's outside all night is it might attract foxes.
Today's cleaning task is the kitchen. I need to do a meal plan for the week and check the Mr M delivery for tomorrow. I've got a £10 off Lidl voucher to use up this week. Making mushroom and spinach spaghetti for my dinner tonight to use up some mushrooms and spinach. Also making a batch of carrot, swede and lentil soup for my lunches this week.
Have a good one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

Been raining all day here. No chance of hanging washing out!
Mind you with me now working back in the office I won't get much chance to hang washing out anyway during the week.4 -
Good job there with the washing drying - I'd love somewhere to hang mine outside - it all goes on the clothes horse. Luckily there's only me to wash for! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
