Awesome decorations. I've only got two knitted pumpkins & a woolly scarf-wearing black cat in my front window. I did used to light it up too, but got sick of kids hammering at the door fit to bust the glass..... including from a family none of whom could manage a 'Hello' at any other time of year! I do still have my long black hooded wedding cloak so perhaps I should do something one year & wear that while opening the door to hand out freaky home baked green cakes.

Happy Sunday and what a wet miserable start to the day here ☔️
I’m hoping it will be like yesterday and the sun will come out later. I got ready to take the dog out, she ran off and is hiding upstairs 😆 I’ve given up trying to coax her down.
I’ll hit my target of NSD 15/15 today. No plans to spend anything. November will be a target of 12, I struggled to do 15.Finished reading another book this morning - Katie Fforde’s Recipe for Love. Chose a lighter read as my past two reads have been tense thrillers. It was good, set around a TV cooking competition. I like to mix and match genres, if I read a light and fluffy book I feel the need for a gritty one next, so the next read from my bookshelf is The Lake of Dead Languages by Carol Goodman. It won’t be long before I start on the Christmas books, towards the end of November probably, got a couple on my shelves.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Nothing as unpredictable as the weather and the sun came out at 11, the dog suddenly showed an interest in going out and has had a good run on the park across the road. There was a football match on so Mr SA watched that while I entertained the dog. The match got a bit fraught at one stage with lots of arguing, shouting and swearing 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I’m surprised the pitch was suitable for football……think it would have been a water sport around here. The rain did stop and threatened to brighten up at one stage but it’s back with a real vengeance now. At least the dog got a run 👍January spends - £587.586

It’s been lovely here all afternoon, you wouldn’t have thought it had been pouring down most of the morning. Took the dog for a long street walk after lunch. Mr SA wanted to look at the houses decorated for Halloween 🙄 He’s driving me nuts and wants to give out sweets to trick or treaters. What he means is he wants me to keep getting up and down to the door with the dog barking her head off while he sits with his feet up watching TV and drinking beer. DD said she’d take the dog in her room until later on but she’s still at work at the moment. I’ve not put anything remotely Halloween themed in the window so hopefully no one will knock.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Our dog is currently wrapped up in a fleece blanket in his kitchen bed. He is knackered from the weekend. Hoping no trick or treaters come and disturb him.
Seen a few wander up the street already but they didn't come here. We should maybe have stayed out in the van tonight 🤣🤣🤣4 -
We don't get many trick or treaters down our road now and we don't answer the door anyway. Why cant Mr SA get up and down to give sweets out if he wants to and you sit with your feet up instead? Good idea to shut the dog away. DD2 has a new border collie pup but luckily so far she does not get upset by callers yet.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. We’ve had two lots of trick or treaters so far, I was in the bath when the first lot came. We haven’t been to the door although we do have sweets. A bit naughty of the kids as there’s no pumpkin out although they may remember from previous years I’m quite generous with the sweets.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
