I’m still wearing my mask and social distancing, our shops still ask for you to do this and we’re supposed to at work too. I never buy my lunch out or use public transport so I’m adding nothing to that part of the economy.

I don’t think I could get a pass refund as I think it’s some sort of jiggery-poker they’ve done to by pass it for the new website. I’m getting a couple of months free as it would normally run out in 5.

I’ve spoken to my manager and she agrees I shouldn’t go in tomorrow. The Covid situation is under constant review apparently and if cases rise further we will be back to WFH every day again.

Covid cases are starting to rise in our office as well. Not really a surprise given that they are rising in the population in general I suppose. No mention of us going back to WFH though. They will stick it out with us all in the office for as long as possible here.

    COVID certainly on the rise.
I think another lockdown after COP 26.

I don't think they will lock us down this time. I think we will just have to get on with it and accept that Covid is around for a long time. They need us to get some natural immunity to it if we are ever going to get back to some sort of "normality"

Whilever the NHS can cope we will just be left to get on with it and let the virus circulate.

Just had to go and rescue Mr SA and the dog. His scooter broke down on one of the local hills. Two very kind (and strong) men were pushing him up the hill when I got there 🤦‍♀️

  • It just shows that you really need to be on hand for these occasions. More ammunition for a request to WFH at your own discretion. I made the huge mistake of giving up work in a similar situation.  My finances never really recovered.

I’m just glad I wasn’t in the office today as planned. I have a Carers Passport in place that allows me to take time to sort him out. I’d never give up work, I’m too close to retirement now and we couldn’t manage without my income before then. Work are very good on the whole with various things.

Finally DD’s staff discount is coming off the Mr M shop again with the new website. Only taken them since February to sort it out. This has taken a further £10 off the bill 🥳

Took the dog on the park at lunchtime but she was hassled to death by a puppy that just wouldn’t leave her alone so I had to bring her back home.
