Thank you. I still feel rough. I think it’s a cold rather than Covid as the cough isn’t continuous and it’s not bothering me - up to now anyway. Mr SA has helpfully suggested I wear a mask around the house just in case, although he’s happy for me to handle his food 😬Took the dog on the park for a run, we were the only ones there, no surprise as it was raining. The weather hasn’t been great today.
Have roasted a huge butternut squash, red pepper and red onion and this will become risotto for tonight and soup for weekday lunches.Wrapped up the GK’s Christmas presents.
I think I’ve done sufficient Spanish learning to stay in the Duolingo diamond league 🤞The grammar is starting to get harder but I shall persevere. I should really write notes but I always think I’ll remember 😆Have declared NSD 11/15, not spent anything today.Strictly results and leftover Prosecco tonight 🥂💃
Need to get an early night as I have to train someone how to do the work figures first thing tomorrow morning so they can cover for me when I’m off in a couple of weeks. That’ll be like the blind leading the blind 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Hope things improve quickly for you SA. (((hugs)))
Enjoy the Prosecco tonight. XXI Believe.....

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy4 -
What is this perverse declaration? "Leftover" Prosecco??? I think someone's slacking... the cold must be severe.
Hope you're feeling better soon. You are due some sick leave, defer your meeting with your manager, look after YOU for a change :-)What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?6 -
I’m not that bad I can’t WFH, that’s where work gain, honestly I’m not ill enough to take sick leave. Meeting with my manager is our virtual weekly catch up. She’s a good manager and will be receptive to my thoughts on not being in the office this week.Left over Prosecco who knew it even existed 🤣
I actually feel a bit better tonight, a day of rest has done me good. I do feel guilty not having achieved much today though ☹️ I wanted to do some clearing in the garden but I couldn’t anyway as it rained a fair bit today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
DD has had a pizza delivered and despite Mr SA having steak, potatoes and veg just over an hour ago he’s helped her eat it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Just caught up get a bit of NG news… raining as usual and everyone got a cold don’t know what I’m missing fml, staff have told me same lol actually sounds like 3/4 my staff are ill but not ill enough to be off work colds etc.
Get well soon.4 -
Happy Monday
A bit of faff with Mr M first thing, they’ve changed back to goods coming direct from the warehouse instead of the store. It meant I couldn’t put tomorrow’s order in until today and there was only one slot available. They have also cancelled the delivery pass that I’ve only just paid for and replaced it with a 7 months free trial delivery pass. It isn’t free I’ve already paid for it 🤔
Had an email from work basically saying Covid is rife in the office but you still have to come in 😡
I feel a bit better today thankfully but still not going in this week. I don’t feel comfortable walking into an office with high numbers of Covid when I don’t need to.Had a £4.05 underspend on groceries last week, this has gone into the Christmas pot. Today will be NSD 12/15.Today’s cleaning task is the kitchen. Washing is out on the line as it’s a beautiful sunny day. Need to do a meal plan for the week.Have a good one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Can you request a refund for the delivery pass you’ve paid for then? Cheeky devils!I really don’t understand the covid stance at the moment. I don’t understand why masks and social distancing isn’t being reintroduced in England, as it costs nothing really and still allows businesses to function. The masks never stopped in Scotland. And I really don’t understand the big push to get people into offices when they can do their jobs as well from at home. I understand the need to keep money going into transport and cafes, etc. But most of us are so used to not buying lunches out every day, that I doubt people will want the extra cost now, even when they are having to travel in. Anyone with any sense will make what excuses they can to not be present in a covid filled office! Crazy times ☹️Have a good day ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
