Morning all, happy Friday 🍾
Should be at the vets with the cat right now but it’s pouring with rain/snow and I can’t get a taxi. We were going to take her on Mr SA’s scooter but he daren’t risk the electrics getting wet. Moved the appointment to next Wednesday, hopefully the weather will be better then. It’s only a booster so not urgent.
There are 3 liqueur gins in my advent calendar that I know I won’t like: lemon drizzle cake, Victoria sponge and cherry bakewell. I was going to get DIL a few mini gins to go with her Christmas present and she likes the liqueur gins so I’m going to give her these instead of buying some. If I get a gin advent calendar next year I’ll make sure there are no liqueur gins in it.Need to brave the weather and take the dog out shortly. Then I’ll get some cleaning done. Might watch a Christmas film this afternoon 🎄Have a fabulous Friday xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10 -

I’ve just been able to successfully purchase the exact same beauty products online I tried to buy in the M&S store yesterday where they refused my £15 voucher. Voucher accepted online no problem. Also redeemed a £2 of points online only voucher. Free delivery as I also bought DD’s dressing gown and some warm leggings for me. And they wonder why we shop online.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Sorry you had such an awful day yesterday, some days just seem to conspire against you don't they? Today sounded a bit better, although it's a pity you couldn't get to the vet. I'm glad you were able to order the things you wanted online .At least it's the weekend now

RETIRED: MAY 2021!!!!😀🎆

Well I feel like I’ve achieved very little today on my day off. Took the dog on the park in the sleet, we had the park all to ourselves, no one else mad enough to go on there. The mud was unbelievable. The dog came back filthy but she had a great time. Then I went to the local card shop for a birthday card for DS, Christmas card for Mr SA and some stamps. OMG the cost of a book of 12 1st class stamps 😱
Did not a lot with the rest of my day which I’m annoyed with myself about. Somehow have managed to do 11,000 steps though. I didn’t get to watch a Christmas film in the end. I was faffing about with the DVD player I bought about 2 years ago and never got round to setting up because we tend to stream things these days. Anyway we haven’t got the right cable to connect it to the TV so have bought what I believe to be the right one from eBay. I will get it set up eventually.I ordered some dog and cat food from Fish 4 Dogs and it arrived today. My dog loves fish. I bought the cat a trial pack for £5 and it’s really good, even got a fish toy in it as well as samples of food. She’s enjoyed what she’s had so far and has been playing with the toy. The dog has got a trial pack too for £6 and loves the food so far. She went mad for the fish jerky treats. So two happy pets there and they are both very fussy👍
The snow never really settled and has gone completely now.Tomorrow we are supposed to be meeting DS and the GKs at a local park with a Christmas market, providing it’s not raining. DS says it’s all the GKs have been talking about because they have real reindeer. Hopefully they won’t be disappointed 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
Hope tomorrow goes ahead for you. The reindeer sound lovely. There’s a few local makers markets around here that have been cancelled by the local council with 24 hour notice. There’s some angry traders out there. The little bakery up the road has advertised they’re open with lots of bargains to be had as they’d baked all day today in readiness for the market tomorrow....WHY such short notice. I know we’re in teir 3 but we’ve known that for a while now.I don’t blame you not risking getting the scooter wet and shorting out 😳😳January spends - £587.589

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
I’ve been looking for a mobility scooter rain canopy online for Mr SA and they are really expensive at least £400, might put the saving for an oven further down the queue to get him one. In the meantime I can get him a rain poncho especially for scooters. He’s had one before, no idea what he’s done with it. The one I’m looking at has a clear panel so he can still see the controls. Although even with a canopy he shouldn’t be going out in pouring rain as it must get underneath the scooter still.Weather permitting it’s the Christmas market today. Mr SA can’t be bothered to go and has said I should go on my own with the dog. It will depend on whether DS is going. It’s on every weekend so could try again next week,
I need to nip to the local shops in a bit, don’t need much. I’m having veggie burger, sweet potato wedges and salad tonight, looking forward to it.
Remembered to weigh myself this morning and I’ve stayed the same. Happy with this as I’ve not really been on it properly for the past two weeks. So still need to lose 4.5lbs to be back at goal.Must be more productive today.Have a super Saturday xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
