Have had a fairly productive day today, although didn’t get round to writing out my Christmas cards or watching a Christmas film. The dog has had two good runs on the park across the road so she’s happy. Not the NSD I was planning as bought a spice rack from eBay. Been looking at getting a decent sized one for a while. I’ve got a cupboard full of herbs and spices and don’t know what I’ve got half the time. This will sit on my kitchen worktop so I can see at a glance what I have.Someone was run over near DD’s work today and the road was closed all afternoon. The air ambulance flew over our house I wondered where it was going. She said it was really quiet as the police weren’t letting cars through to the retail park where she works. Brought back memories of me this time last year, still count my blessings, could’ve been so much worse. Still get flashbacks ☹️Filled the garden waste bin this afternoon, next week will be the last time they collect until March.Have made an old favourite for my dinner tonight, spiced butternut squash stew with herb dumplings made with flour and natural yoghurt. Mr SA has got steak with baby potatoes, sweet corn cob and veg.Lots of appointments next week: Mr SA has his emergency dental appointment on Tuesday, second attempt at the cat’s vet appointment on Wednesday and hairdressers for me on Sunday. Work virtual Christmas do on Tuesday too, not sure how that will pan out. Oh and I need to create an online quiz for work’s mental health awareness month, have foolishly volunteered to host a Kahoot quiz.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)11

😱I remember your car accident SA. Wow - time has gone so quick. You were so lucky. The spice rack is a good buy. I hated having my spice jars just stuck in the cupboard individually - I could never work out what I had and used to have to pull them out. Now I have them standing up in a little box on the bottom shelf of one of the cupboards. At least I can pull out the box and immediately put my hands on what I want. 👍Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Lol - think you’ve read my mind about spices. I can’t believe how many we have....I’ve asked dh to customise a cupboard with narrow shelves so I can organise the spices into a box for hot spices and fragrant spices....we may well need a third box looking at the amount we have 😱😱 Th kids bought dh lots of spice kits for various curries and Mexican dishes- which he makes from time to time. I could honestly sell the restaurants some spices 😳😳 I’ve been saving small jars and nice coffee jars....need to get organised.
I can’t believe it is a year since your accident. You were indeed very lucky..January spends - £587.5810 -
I'm another one who can't believe it's been a year already, where has this year gone, all my herbs and spices are in a cupboard I don't tend to use them much though because most of what I cook comes out of a jar 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1208

I bought little kilner jars earlier in the year for ours, 24 and used all up and I need to buy some more ! Does make it easier to see what I’ve got in the pull out larder cupboard we’ve gotAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

My spice jars are now in a drawer with the tops of the lids labelled, and spare space at the back has stock cubes which prevent the jars sliding too much (not that there's much sliding space). It works well but I also love having foods on display so I have a shelf of glass jars for ingredients which makes me happy.
A year past your accident... you've come a long way. I'm not surprised you get flashbacks but hopefully those will fade eventually.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Monday 🎄
I was looking at those little mason jar bags for my herbs/spices, I'm on a FB household organisation group and they rave about them on there. I think I'd prefer mine out on display next. I've got one of those carousels but it doesn't hold that many and the jars all need to be Schwartz to fit, a lot of mine aren't.
Today should be a NSD, no plans for shopping online or otherwise today. I do need to look at my Mr M order for tomorrow though.
Have signed up to a 14 day yoga challenge via my WW app. Have to do 3 yoga workouts a week. I need to do something like this as my legs get so stiff, not sure if this is because I've broken both of them and the cold weather is making them stiff. Will be going for a treadmill run after work and take the dog on the park at lunchtime. Need to keep moving.
Cleaning is kitchen and dining room.
Going to finish off the other mushroom steak tonight for my dinner, won't bother buying them again. Will have it with roast parsnips, swede, carrots and red onion gravy.
Have a marvellous Monday x
