I went into my favourite tiny shop the other day only to find she has lost footfall as the massive offices down the road are nearly empty. Many of her customers used to come in on their lunch break. The irony is that this is a very eco-friendly shop. I do think there's possibly a case for door-to-door delivery around estates, but there's also the whole thing about saving money by not spending on commercial sandwiches and coffee.
We live in at the edge of a town and one of the things that was most noticeable early in lockdown was how clean the air was. If a car passed in the street, the smell was quite strong. I don't notice that any more so I assume that vehicle use in semi-rural areas is about back where it was.

Morning all 😎
Weigh in this morning and I’ve annoyingly stayed the same. Oh well not deterred will plod on.
There are a few good things about lockdown and the drop in pollution was one.Milann there are a couple of FB group meet ups planned but I can’t make either. It’s always going to be the case that someone creates the event then it’s whoever can make it goes. There are over 100 of us so it’s never going to suit everyone.
DS and the GKs coming later today so that will be nice.Must ring the beauty salon to book in my nails and eyebrows for the day before we go on holiday. Was pleased to learn they can restart eyebrows etc from 1 August.Enjoy your Saturday 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

Had a lovely day with the GKs yesterday although they were getting a bit bored as their mum had a hairdressers appointment that lasted over 3 hours. The dog was so excited to see them and they bought her a new ball which she was over the moon with.
Face masks arrived yesterday so I’m all set for next week’s wearing them in shops.Today was an unexpected hot sunny day so took the dog for a very long walk to a local park further away which meant I hit my steps target well before lunchtime. I ended up buying a plant from their garden centre though so not the NSD I planned. As we’ve met up with DS and the GKs at this park several times the dog was on the lookout for them and kept wanting to go to the car park where we meet them.
Spent the rest of the day pottering in the garden and reading my book in the sun. Unfortunately Mr SA had a fall and grazed his knee badly.Tried to do a meal plan for next week but Mr M are out of stock of most things I want so will have to have a rethink. They are out of stock of so many things their warehouse must be nearly empty!! Have got a small Iceland order coming tomorrow so will weave some of that stuff into the meal plan if it all turns up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

Morning all, happy Monday 😎
Another lovely sunny day here today, was up and doing my run a lot earlier this morning. Unfortunately Mr SA was up when I got back which means it's going to be a very long day today. His prescription needs picking up from the chemists and he's been ready to go since about 7.30. He was getting on my nerves so I've sent him out for it now, he'll probably have to queue but it's not as if he's busy.
My Iceland delivery is due shortly, a few things missing but nothing important.
Did finances this morning and had a £20.39 underspend last week, so not bad. This week is the final week of the budget period.
Have a great Monday everyone x

That's Monday done work-wise.
At the beginning of the month I ordered a picture frame from eBay and it should've arrived by 9 July. Still not received it so chased it up today and they sent me a refund. No explanation of what happened! I've now ordered one from Wilko but ended up spending a fair bit to justify the £5 delivery charge. There were quite a few things I'm struggling to get locally but thankfully they were available so a totally random selection of things are arriving on Friday. Mr SA kept shouting out things in the background to add to the order. Talking of Mr SA he picked up his meds from the chemist and came back with a pair of sunglasses. He put them down in the kitchen and later on he spotted them up and asked who they belonged to - he'd forgotten about them already!
I'm on a mission this week to clean out every single cupboard in the kitchen so made a start this lunchtime and have done the top run of cupboards along one wall. Will be noting sell by dates and weaving any things past their best into the meal plan.

Oh, SA. I really feel for you. On one level his escapades when you're reading and not involved are quite funny (but I think that's probably down to the way you write about them). But I honestly don't know how you cope with all this. You must have the patience of a saint. Make sure you get your days out and your treats. You're a star!
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

Another shout out to how well you cope. I guess it’s a blessing he can make it to the chemist alone if he can forget so quickly. You are doing a remarkable job keeping it all together. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
