Mr SA sitting outside the wrong Tesco. You couldn’t make it up..... Glad he got to you in the end and you didn’t need to carry the shopping yourself.
Hooray to the Iceland voucher. I quite like Iceland but our nearest one is on a high street with a pay and display carpark. I refuse to park in there as it’s quite expensive with traffic wardens prowling and it’s too far to carry bags back. I’ve never done an online shop anywhere - with Morrison’s around the corner I’ve never really needed to. There was talk of one coming closer to me but I’ve not heard anything about that for a while. 🤞January spends - £587.588 -
@milann the Iceland voucher is for home delivery. You have to spend £35 for free delivery often you can get next day. So if you like it it’s worth a look. I think it’s £2 delivery if you spend less than £35. We have an Iceland on our local high street but often the queues are horrendous.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Morning all 😎
Just been out to Mr T Express for a paper, so 70p spent and a few steps on the clock. I really must purchase some face masks this week as will need them very shortly. Noticed this morning that some of the local elderly have taken to wearing face shields which they seem to think have magical properties and they can just brush past you in the supermarket.
Not a lot planned for today other than work. Will be taking the dog out a couple of times to clock up some steps, do the WW app daily activity plus today's Fly Lady task. It's all rock and roll here 🤣
Have a good day everyone x

Face masks purchased ✅ Just a basic pack of 4 washable ones from Amazon. Tried to order some fancy ones from another website but the payment section was down. The basic ones will do for now. Thought I’d better order before everywhere starts selling out in preparation for next week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

I had a few already but the cheap washable ones are very thin and poorly fitting and the home made ones are double layered not triple. I made them using the Government's pattern and they are very comfortable and 'breathable', but probably not enough layers compared to recommendations now.
I did notice the reviews on Amazon often say that size and quality are variable, so perhaps manufacturers are thinking as you do and stampeding to make sales before the rush!

I have no idea where I read something a doctor had written this but she suggested that you tie a knot in the elastic as close to the actual mask as possible & then push the edges of the mask through inside before the knot & it makes it fit closer. It seems to work especially well if you have a smaller face. I think it gives you a bigger air space in front of your nose & mouth before the mask too which stops it feeling quite so claustrophobic.

Thanks for the tip bad memory, I’ve got a small head/face and everything is too big so worth noting. I did end up also ordering the fancy masks as I was offered a discount. We’ll see how they go. I know you can use a scarf etc as a covering but I’d rather have the real thing. I’m going to trial one in the house to get used to wearing it. Mr SA is more used to wearing face masks as he used to have to wear them all day at work, then he had to wear them when he was having chemo. I can’t believe I threw a box of them away last year thinking they were no longer needed.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Morning all, happy Friday 😎
Run done, went a different route on the way back to incorporate some very steep steps. It's a beautiful warm sunny day already so have done 2 loads of washing and pegged it out.
The 2 fancy masks I ordered have flamingos on them. Obviously I wish we didn't have the situation that's led to us having to wear them, but if I've got to wear one it might as well be fancy. As it's getting so close to my holiday I'm trying to avoid having to go anywhere other than the local shops and the hairdressers/beauty salon because of this track and trace business. I don't want to risk going into a pub/restaurant to be contacted to say I've been near someone with the virus and self isolate for 10 days, not worth it. I see on the news office workers are being urged to go back into the office just so they can boost the economy by buying sandwiches or whatever. Our big chief has told us we must work from home if we can and only return to the office if we can't for technical or mental health reasons. I'm happy to remain working from home for the foreseeable future to be honest.
Have a great Friday everyone 🎉
