Same here, I’m in awe of the steps. I had a phase where I managed to get over 10k for a couple of months, but it was so hard and now I’m lucky to get 3k. 9 hours a day at a desk And then cooking tea leaves little time to waste on stepping Sadly....I must do better! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I’m struggling to get to my 10k on a work day but can get between 15 and 20 if we go for a walk of a weekend. I used to do much more in my old job - I could easily clock up 10 k as my classroom was across the playground in a porta cabin and trekking back and forth to the main school really mounted up. During lockdown when we went out for a walk we were full of ideas of making an effort to get out after work and keep up the good work....but once I’m in my get up and go - isn’t!!January spends - £587.586

Morning folks
Went for my run this morning, yet again didn't feel like it but glad I did. Already just under 7k steps on the clock. It's the days in between the runs that I struggle to get my steps up. It was never a problem before lockdown as the walk to and from work was over £12k steps alone.
In answer to those steps comments above, it's getting in some walking during the day, if you can get in the habit of going for a walk first thing, then at lunchtime then again after work it all builds up. I set my Fitbit to remind me at 10 to the hour to move and complete 250 steps (of course I can't always do this if I'm in the middle of something at work). I've got a dog so she needs to be walked and this is a good way to get up the steps count.
Got a busy morning, I'm in meetings from 10am onwards until early afternoon so going to be chained to my desk.

I’ve been at my desk since 7.30...I have a grand total of 596 so far! Perhaps a walk to the fridge may help? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

There is a reason that fitbits suggest moving & doing 250 steps per hour. Mine is set to remind me between 10am & 7pm changed from 9am to 6pm. It is also recommended that you don't sit at a computer (or on the phone without moving) for more than an hour.

Quick break in between meetings, it's a series of webinars about various subjects, would normally have taken place in a large venue where you move between presentations. Will be ready for a stretch of the legs after work today that's for sure, will take the dog out.
Iceland have sent me a £5 off £40 spend voucher and I need some things from there so have put in an order for Monday. Will be a combination of there and Mr M for shopping next week.
I went to the big Mr T after work yesterday (which is about a 30 minutes walk) and was very pleasantly surprised to find it was more or less empty and no queues. Some of the shelves were a bit bare though but I'd mainly gone for Mr SA's beer, which they had, plus a few other bits. I treated myself to the new Santa Montefiore book and a bunch of flowers 😁 I told Mr SA to give me 30 minutes then come down on his scooter to pick up the shopping. When I got out there was no sign of him. I rang him to see where he was and he said outside, still couldn't see him anywhere. Turns out he'd gone to the local Mr T Express! So had to sit outside for 20 minutes waiting for him to scoot down.
