After a bit of dithering I went to the friendship group meet up. So glad I did. There were about 15 local women, all 50 plus, all really nice and friendly. We had a socially distanced picnic in a local park and a really good chat. There are going to be more events, there was talk of a pizza and Prosecco evening at a local bar who could accommodate us bearing in mind restrictions. So all good. Mr SA rang after I’d been gone an hour to say he was coming to meet me with the dog. Sigh 😔 He’s not happy about it and has said you better not have brought the virus back!!!!! Also lots of talk of theatre, cinema, meals out etc when all is back to normal. The park was really busy, lots of big groups of people but everyone was socially distancing so no problem.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Fabulous that you met so many nice people, I wish we had something like it here, but I’m so sorry you only managed an hour, so frustrating! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Suzanne you should set one up, someone has to start it off. The woman who set ours up wasn’t sure if anyone would respond but 113 local women have joined so far, so there is definitely a need for this sort of thing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

That's great, SA. There's all sorts of scope for people who are like minded. You might find a theatre buddy for when everything opens again. Problem is Mr SA not letting you out of his sight.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7
