Missed it too, SA. Was awakened by fireworks just after midnight and went downstairs to find Himself fast asleep on the sofa. Life in the fast lane!!!
Hope you have a healthy, wealthy and peaceful 2019.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

I didn't realise Mr T was open today!

Hiya from a sympathetic passer through. I'm really glad you went out. I have one of the OHs who let you do things as he prefers to stay home. I have had relationships with the other sort and don't miss the hassle one bit!
Can you get Mr SA to find some friends? Are there any groups he might consider joining locally, as there can be some great support in local areas if you are lucky?
Failing that could he scoot to a local pub and enjoy a quiz night or football game? Give you an evening off too?Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Thanks Katsu I’m working on getting him to join a group. He enjoyed his couple of hours without me there so he might not be so resistant in future.
Took the trousers back to Mr T. Mr SA couldn’t find a sweatshirt. We just bought some food. On the way home we stopped off at the new pub at the end of our road and I had gin of the week - black currant with orange tonic and very nice it was too
The decorations are all down and house back to normal. I leave fairy lights up all year round so it doesn’t look that different to be honest.
Ugh back to work tomorrow - only a 3 day week though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

I think I'm going to have to cave in and buy a new fridge freezer. I tried to reset it (You Tube tip) but the fridge is still warm, not 100% sure the freezer is working properly either. I could get it repaired but think it would be expensive (possibly the motor again) and it's been so unreliable since I bought it I don't think it's worth it. It's just the faff of emptying everything out and getting the old one taken away. Why don't appliances last much more than 5 years nowadays - grr
Annoyingly this is the only kitchen appliance I didn't take out insurance on, typical!
On the plus side, the washer is finally being fixed tomorrow, which is insured thankfullyI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry to hear about the fridge SA,I agree things just don't last as long as they used to, could you have a look on £bay/faceache for a second hand one to tie you over.0
