Have a lovely time. Such a shame some women are having to put with controlling husbands like your friend so it is almost a relief if they die and even sadder you understand how she feels. Life is too short really but you do so much for Mr SA and you have lovely holidays without him having to organise or do anything. He should really be more grateful. I had a lovely catch up with my friend. She's over here until May so there wasn't the urgency I thought. Will see her again anyway. One thing I wasn't keen on was she was forever scanning the pub and catching men's eyes. She's 54 but looks a lot younger and is newly single after being married for 30 years (he was cheating on her for 18 years unknown to her). When I left she decided to stay behind and chat to a group of men one of whom had caught her eye - he only looked about 30 at the most! He came over to chat, he seemed OK but I reminded her to stay safe. I'll be honest and say I was glad to be leaving it's not my scene. Mr SA would have a field day if he knew as his opinion of her would be confirmed? Made me smile she's discovered gin, apparently it's not a thing yet in Oz
She reckons it would go down a storm there, if she had the money to open a gin bar she'd make a fortune
Mr SA was sulking when I got back - 30 minutes late at 8pm - shock horror
His beef curry was still in the slow cooker untouched. He said he didn't want it as it was so late. Reminded him we're not eating until 8.30 tomorrow. Anyway he ate it after I threatened to throw it away!
So I've had a nice (early) evening out at a cost of £3.95 for a pink Prosecco plus £4.00 for a taxi homeWalked there as it only takes 20 mins. Happy days

Last day of 2018
Didn't wake up until 7.30 - the cat came to fetch me! Gradually over these few days off work I've been going to bed later and getting up later. Wednesday will be a shock to the system getting up at 5 again.
Payday today - finally. Need to sort finances shortly. I need to give the house a good clean too plus there's still a few things left on my to do list that I want to cross off before Wednesday.
Meal out tonight, part of me wishes we hadn't booked it. We don't have to stay until midnight, we'll just sees how the night pans out. I just don't want to be sat looking at my watch waiting for midnight. I just wanted to see the fireworks - the pub we're going to is on top of a hill (as is everything where I live!) and has fabulous views of the firework display in the city centre.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
How very dare you be late:rotfl::rotfl:
